my new puppy jake (my first dog) is becoming increasingly upset in his crate.
i stopped putting him in it a night as he was barking the place down and waking the babies.

i want to let jake free run over the fields. they are fenced but not overly high and probably with a few gaps (farmers field) but i am not sure he will come back when i call him.
he is 5 months. some times he comes when i call and sometimes he ignores me.
at what age/stage should i let him...
wouldnt the vet have noticed the scar from the first op??
