Watched the Greyhound Derby Final this evening and Westmead Hawk has won for the 2nd year running. What a great race it turned out to be - the "Hawk" a well deserved winner. :cheers:

If Westmead Hawk is with them on the final bend he will win but IMO Amirillo could be the "one to watch". As regards Charlie Listers not having a dog in the final I must admit I am surprised, but Fear Me did not get a clean race and also had a hard draw and I'm afraid "luck" was not on his side...

Semi-finals are being shown on Sky Sports tomorrow nights (Saturday) with the Final being on Sky Sports News the following Saturday. Just look out for Westmead Hawk, last years winner - can he be beat!!!! He has not lost a race yet throughout the rounds - what a dog he is proving to be...

Fear Me did run tonight but unfortunately failed to qualify for the semi-final was beaten by Westmead Hawk, Ballymac Pires and Blue Majestic. Westmead Hawk was the only favourite in the Quarter Finals to win his race - certainly some very good racing. :thumbsup:

As far as I know, after checking the "Latest News" from William Hill Web Page - Latest News, there is no mention of Fear Me being a non-runner. Just stated that Weatmead Hawk and Fear Me are in the same heat tonight and that "The Hawk" is still favourite to retain his title from last year...

When breeding a litter - if the brood bitch is looked after and the pups too by the time you have fed them, taken the bitch to the vets for check-up both prior to and after the birth there is very little money to be made from breeding, especially if the bitch has a "C" Section. :thumbsup:
