Gosh, we take our dog everywhere. She loves the beach and running on the shore, we hike in the woods, or sometimes we take a leisurely walk on the road saying hi to the neighbors as we go. But we live on a horse farm so our dog gets to run and enjoy all of our acres as well (with us, she has an...
I had a dear friend who experienced this with her nine month old samoyed pup. I can only imagine how heartbroken you are right now. We are here to support, to listen and to encourage. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Also keep in mind she is in a very difficult place for any dog, let alone a timid dog - lots of barking and other noises, other dogs all around, people coming and going, feeling confined in a kennel... All these things are not conducive to bringing a timid dog out of their shell. In a home...
Thank you all for your input. It is most helpful. I am very intrigued by the idea the yorkie may have had an underlying medical issue that triggered this. I have a cat that gets very upset and defensive when one of my other cats gets sick almost to the point of attacking them, so I can easily...
My good friend had a tragic situation occur the other day and I'm trying to help her make sense of it - if that is even possible. So I will ask here for your thoughts and opinions.
My friend has a 9 year old, 60 pound chocolate lab they raised from a puppy. He has always been calm...
Sounds like it worked out for everyone just as it should have. Terriers are not for everyone, so I applaud those folks who realized this BEFORE they got the pup that this might not be the breed for them. Wishing you all the best with your pups. I am loving the pics and can't wait to see more as...
If the incision site is clean and not red or swollen and no discharge then some residual bruising should not be a problem. But if you have a concern you should call your vet and discuss with them. All the best!
When Piper has digestive upsets, I give her about a tablespoon of 100% pure pumpkin (from a can) once a day. This has always worked well for her over the past 9 years. She weighs 20 pounds so a little over 7 teaspoons for Jasper doesn't sound like too much to me. :)
Thanks! It doesn't seem possible that little puppy that fit in one hand when I got her is now 9 years old. And what a great 9 years it's been! Good to "see" you here too!
Piper is my first Corgi and she has been a bundle of love, joy and fun. I absolutely adore this breed. I once heard corgi's described as part school hall monitor, part cruise ship director and that fits her personality to a T! lol
So sorry this happened to poor Miles, and I'm sure it shook you up a bit too. Hoping he has a speedy recovery and no lasting effects from the attack.
But seeing the video of him playing in the sand and joyfully trying to meet the other dog, it looks like that might not be an issue. :)
