Our vets will not castrate our boys before they are 3 years old and will only be done if there is a medical reason..most dogs with problems are neutered males ..there is alot more knowledge now about Not neutering male dogs ...please dont rush into having him neutered at 18 months 😀

Have you thought about a raw diet ....natures menu do foods that have everything in for a balanced diet ...for a dog your size would cost around £12 a week ...diet is a huge part of all of our lives the food you put into your dog for health...

I use raised feeders ..I personally have no faith in vets and dogs diet ..they are quick to recommend prescription diets as they make money from them ..

I was the same as @Hemlock....you know what your boy is like so to me children would be a no all the time he is in your life ...that may not be what you want to hear but it is the reality..
I think the breeder did the right thing by telling you what was found with pup on his health check and maybe they would have helped more financially if the testicle did not drop and he would have needed an operation...alot of pups especially sighthounds take longer for their testicles to drop...
I must admit I have always had my bitches spayed ...and the boys neutered but they were rescue dogs ...
We have decided not to get our boys neutered as it's an operation I don't think they need...
The only downside is alot of rescues would not home to us as our boys are not neutered......
