Thought we were due another dose of the boy! It's been over a year now since we lost Iggy and by some miracle Goose is still with us! This last week though he has been a bit more down than up... The pain meds he's on have been maintaining him really well but this weekend I've had to increase his...
I am sorry to hear this, it always the worst time when you don't know. I would give the vets you know a call, if you're prepared to drive to see them I can't think why they would have a problem with it. At the very least it's worth a phone call as this is a vet you trust and knows your dogs...
Same here... I'm afraid I have no experience of this either,(other than to agree about googling things!!). Your vet sounds like he's on it though, fingers crossed you get some answers soon.
Hi and welcome from me too:) One of the dogs I work with is a Tibetan Terrier, he's a super lovely boy!
Any photos of your two and what are their names?
I wonder if, once you're all done for the day and sitting down, instead of giving him a treat or two, maybe give him something he can take his time over? Maybe a kong or similar smeared with something tasty? It could mark the time to settle. I do remember though that Freddie has a sensitive tum...
So sorry for their loss, a heart breaking time for you all...
Small comfort I know, but a blessing for her to bimble over the rainbow bridge whilst she napped...sending kind thoughts x
Someone on here ages ago mentioned a 'Mookie' brush. I actually bought one and I was really impressed with it. I found them great for detangling and they are gentle. Might be worth having a look, plus the cap doubles as a massage tool, which my dogs also love!😊
Bugs are truly amazing!
I have no photos, but this year I've seen common blue butterflies down here in 3 different areas. I haven't seen any for a fair few years. When my daughter was little, our lavender bushes used to be full of them!
It sounds like your new trainer is sensible, it has to be a slow, slow process. It is so sad when dogs are anxious and it really does take dedication to help them, but as I have said before when you do see progress, no matter how small, it is so, so wonderful! Plus the bond you build with your...
@Tinytom I've never understood that variation amongst councils, as far as I know it's law across the country to be licenced, since 2018.
Do I need a license to look after dogs in my home?
Animal welfare in the UK is forever improving. From 1st October 2018 all businesses offering dog boarding...
I can't say if this is normal but I understand that sedation, especially in an older dog, can sometimes take a while to leave the system...you have done the right thing though by asking your vet, with a plan to bring her in if it continues. Fingers crossed the issue resolves in the meantime.
If they knew this dog was aggressive, as a licenced boarder they had a duty of care not to let the dogs mix. There may have been no puncture wound but the experience for Barley was not good. As a licenced boarder you have to have individual spaces that can be allocated for each dog, if taking in...
Hi and welcome from me too. I am sorry to hear of your recent loss...
I have no experience of introducing a pup to an existing family, though I would say if you already have concerns re your little one(and you don't mention the cats and how they may react to a pup), then my only advice would be...
