For two of my dogs that have never worn harnesses I use these. I really like them for the safety aspect and prefer them over a normal collar purely so they don't back out in certain situations! If you fit them correctly, as said above, when the dog is just walking the collar is nice and loose...
Just catching up, wonderful news re your new addition, (I mean 'foster' dog😂)! Just lovely, he sounds like he is settling well, how are the boys with him?
Diaries are a great idea! With pups or rescues, to keep an eye on progress is really handy generally, but especially if you're ever having a difficult day... you can look back and then remind yourself how far he (and you all) have come. Really glad to hear things are settling with Sid and Remi...
Hi and welcome from me too. If you do think he is still teething you can stick a carrot in the freezer, something nice and cool to chew on might give some relief.
And as said above it is very, very early days, be super calm and super patient. A lot of reactivity stems from fear, if he's had no...
Indeed, good luck!
One of the first dogs I started working with was a goldendoodle and she picked up new commands in a heartbeat. Just be consistent and you'll probably(hopefully!) find he's as bright as a button and eager to learn...fingers crossed!
Good luck and thank goodness you took on this little dog!
People just don't seem to realize the damage they do to dogs by shutting them away in a cage/crate for convenience...effectively isolating them, it's so sad...
Hi and welcome from me too:) Can't really add anything to the above other than with one of my really playful dogs, that I do walk off lead, I've taught a 'wait' command and a 'slowly', which gives me time to shout over to owner if it's ok for her to come and play... I don't think there's ever...
Today is Goose's 6th birthday! We got him a new strawberry 😁. He liked it for a moment but of course his old 'strawberry'(aka the horrid bit of vaguely yellow foam!) is still his favourite!!😝😂
I came across an unusual daisy yesterday, just thought I'd share it! I've quite often found four leaf clovers, actually last year I found a patch that had 4, 5 and 6 leaf clovers in it rather strangely, but never come across a daisy like this... Has anyone else?
I am also so sorry to hear about your girl, it is the hardest thing ever... My only advice would be to write all those questions down and ask the vet, I always think we pay through the nose for consultations, so the least we should expect is the time to really go through any questions we may...
Our council too has gone around changing some double yellow line areas to double red lines, both meaning no parking...go figure! ( Their theory is the red lines mean definitely no parking/stopping I suppose), and yes pot holes are a plenty and our council is skint!! I do wonder who prioritises...
I'm glad you spoke to the vet, hopefully the probiotics will help. (was this the supplement your relatives gave her too?)
Also stress and anxiety can affect the whole digestive system(not just diet). I wonder if she got stressed leaving you, then settling with your family for 2 months and then...
I'm sorry I haven't had any experience of an issue like this so can't offer any advice...I do hope the cream helps. Please don't be afraid to ask your vet to explain things better if you're not sure. I know sometimes they say all this stuff to you and it's only when you leave you think of...
