What are you feeding him now ...diet makes a big difference in dogs behaviour....
If you did rehome him privately and he was to bite someone they could try suing you ...this happened to my friend ...alot of rescues wont take a dog that has behaviour problems unfortunately.....
It's a tough decision...you know your boy best and you will know if he needs a friend....we always have lots of ferrets looking for homes this way ....people take them on and dont realise what they need to thrive and be happy and not put in a rabbit hutch alone ....
You are such a good mum :):)
We had the same thing years ago with a rescue french bulldog...she glaucoma...swelling behind the eye and an eye ulcer ....
I would definitely recommend a eye specialist too as they can tell you exactly what the problem is and what can be done ...eyes can be so painful .......
Welcome to the...
You could buy a baby next to me bed ...its like a small cot that goes beside your bed and unzips one side so that the baby is next to you ...I have seen a few second hand ones...
My vets will not neuter before the age of 18 months for smaller dogs ..2 for large dogs ...its to make sure the growth plates have closed and the dog is mature in himself...I know from previous experience neutering male dogs early can keep them very immature .obviously this is your choice for...
I would wait until he is fully matured before getting him castrated...its now proven even with smaller dogs to wait until they are at least 18 months old ...
Sending you lots of love and totally agree with all of the above...you know him best ...I wouldn't let them do lots of tests either....be strong and tell the vets what you want...he is your ferret and you know what is best xxxx
Never sold a dog ...had to rehome a dog for her own sake as she needed a small dog to play with...
At least you have made sure she goes to a home where she will be happy ...its like a grieving period...in time you will feel happy for her ...give it time...
