Please don't just rush into castration. If your two have always managed without any problems , then it could be a reaction to something that maybe happened at the groomers or as JudyN has mentioned maybe one of the products used on them could be having an effect.
Castration is not always a good...
Oh wow ! what a long time ago.
I woke up this morning with "Donny Osmond's" song on my mind "Until the 12th of never" .I have no idea where that came from, I asked husband if he had a 60s channel on the tv at some time during the night, he said no and that channel 91 was on all night.
While...
"Natures Menu" and "Millies Wolfheart" both produce some nice wet foods, there is also "Lily's kitchen".
I have also looked at the "Butternut Box" that is very much advertised on the Television, It is very much cheaper from what I can see.
Ingredients look ok, but not too sure!
Have you...
We have a girl who hates us shouting at each other. She puts her "guilty" head on, as if she is at fault, and will disappear to the shed outside (with a dog flap) and cosy dog bed for anyone who want's peace and quiet. She waits until the coast is clear or until she is called back indoors.
Her...
That's excellent.
Sometimes what appear to be filthy habits, are because other nutrients are required that they are not getting in their commercial / complete foods. ;)
I would never spay/neuter unless there was a medical reason.
And certainly not until fully grown and matured mentally.
I believe that keeping our pets entire and managing them appropriately is all part of responsible ownership.
We are an all female family and have no problems when the girls...
Our lot also like the young goosegrass, they will pick it most of the summer.
I often pick goosgrass, dandelion flowers, leaves and roots, a little bit of hog weed and some nettle tops, put it all into the blender and blitz it with a little water and pour it all over the girls dinners.
Another comment; Chicken.
Processed chicken within an elimination diet is nothing like the natural raw chicken product.
The raw product has unaltered proteins and nutrients but these are very much destroyed and badly altered after cooking/processing.
Please remember that if you do consider to use chicken wings or any kind of raw bones, that they should NEVER be fed cooked. Cooking will make the bones brittle, splinter and they could be dangerous.
Just as a guide, I use about 8oz, or 1/2lb of meat product each day per dog, edible bones are...
I started off with the"Show" type before I discovered the "Working" type. The show type will work and retrieve in and out of water and loved the brambles, ditches and hedge rows just as much. They did not have the speed and stupidity that some of the Working type have though!
But they certainly...
Anything "Pedigree" eek! and if you have no Idea what is in any other dental sticks, don't touch them!
Are we able to see any pictures of him ?
I think I can say that we all love to see happy pictures .
Take care with the grooming sessions. Too much shampooing can remove the natural oils which can lead to itchy skin.
Our lot are NEVER shampoo'd but they do get a lot of warm water showers in the shooting season, when they come home after a days work very muddy and wet. I use NO products on their...
Wow! Your" Lilie's" ingredients look ok, but do be aware of RICE as this is also a grain and can cause problems with some dogs. What make of dental stick are you using ?
I wonder if it may be worth trying another make of wet tinned product.
There is always "Natures Menu" tins (Beware of RICE in...
You have mentioned "Diet" and that you have tried many types of "expensive" foods.
"Expensive" is not always the best ! And I wonder if you have given your change of foods each a fair trial, with time for positive results.
What type and make of food are you feeding at the moment?
Have you...
Castration is not the answer to all problems. Having his "balls" removed will not overcome your problem.
I think that your trial with an implant is a good idea though, and not as final as castration, which may not work any way .
