Hi everyone, hope you're all well? Just thrown Teddy outside with a raw chicken drumstick and he's been engrossed for the last 20 minutes eating/gnawing it. Surely there must be extra benefits to feeding raw as it mimics "natural" behaviours like this. Any-which-way I am a fan as NOTHING keeps...
My children aren't old enough to leave gates open but the fencing between the houses is quite low and wire which bends. I think it would be high enough for a dog not that bothered about getting out (which he isn't so far) but I don't know if it would be an issue if there was say an entire female...
Thank you everyone for your insights. I will give that a read later Joanne. When my ankle biters are in bed :D Tbh, an easy life is what I need. We constantly move house (for hubbys work), the fencing is NEVER great, when we visit home alot of our family we stay with have F dogs... Teddy goes to...
Not wanting to open a can of worms, but I'm really interested to hear of people's opinions on neutering a male dog? Teddy is 6 months at the end of June and is not KC reg so will never be a breeding dog and he was bought as a pet. Does it make sense to neuter? And if so, at what age? I've heard...
Hi Denise, welcome your dogs are cute! I have a golden cocker too. No advice on the separation anciety sorry but I'm sure someone will be along soon to help. Just looked at your profile page, I'm from East Lancs originally :)
Evening all, just dropping in to tell you all that Mummy gave me a cut amd blow-dry today and I feel F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. She says I'm the most beautiful boy ever :) I went on a really long, sunny walk today. I loved it. Me and Mum have just been playing fetch and tug in the garden. I like to...
That sounds nice to be able to have a coffee with her. The newsagents where my husband is from lets dogs in. It's nice to be able to take them with you on a walk to the local shop.
I'm currently in Como, Italy and have never seen a town (little city) with so many dogs! Everyone is walking one and the town is also very clean. They even take their dogs into the clothes stores etc. There's lots of toy breeds... chihuahuas, yorkies and frenchies. But have also seen a shelties...
She is lovely. She looks like a very dainty, doe-eyed golden cocker :) I know what you mean about the agonising bit. My puppy is 5 months and is booked in to be castrated as we have my Mum's bitch who stays frequently and I don't want extra problems like him going roaming and marking etc.
I agree! My dog's favourite thing to eat is horse poo! Also, right from the beginning of their domestication, thousands of years ago, their diet would have been whatever they could get! Rodents and birds that they hunted, dead animals and leftovers from the kitchen. I do think maybe working...
Stupid question, don't your dogs get raw chicken all over the floor? I've got a feeling that Teddy would be delighted if I fed him a raw diet but I'd have to bleach the floor after every meal and treat. I'd much prefer to combine feed him. I try not to buy into any scientific claims unless they...
I'll be thinking of you and hope you find something soon. And no, you're right, it doesn't get easier. You are in a similar predicament to my Mum, she's just returning to work after recovering from breast cancer over the last 5 years. If she wasn't in a fortunate circumstance with her current...
I've been for a run. We have my in-laws visiting. So one child is at nursery and the other is with Nanny. Teddy, my husband, my father-in-law and his yorkies have all gone for a walk to the beach so I am alone :D it is amazing! I've had a nice long shower, and we're going for afternoon tea at 1pm.
