Good Evening, I am looking to start a 'random chat' thread, just a bit of fun. So I will start off with a question and start your own conversations when you want. Is anyone online?

Did experience thunder and lightning last night? I did not get any thunder/lightning.

Hi no we escaped the bad weather although further south some places had flash flooding...

Has anyone got special plans with their dog today?

We may go for a long walk while it's sunny :)
We are going to the Cinema today and then for a curry after but other than that we will be chilling out.

I've been for a run. We have my in-laws visiting. So one child is at nursery and the other is with Nanny. Teddy, my husband, my father-in-law and his yorkies have all gone for a walk to the beach so I am alone :D it is amazing! I've had a nice long shower, and we're going for afternoon tea at 1pm.

Even though I dont work anymore I am visiting one of my ladies who is recovering from hip surgery this afternoon and taking her clean laundry. (She has no family nearby)

I'm currently in Como, Italy and have never seen a town (little city) with so many dogs! Everyone is walking one and the town is also very clean. They even take their dogs into the clothes stores etc. There's lots of toy breeds... chihuahuas, yorkies and frenchies. But have also seen a shelties and spinones etc.

We’ve been in Italy also (Sorrento, Florence and Verona) and I also noticed how many dogs there were and that they go everywhere. There was even one in McDonald’s in Florence!
They do also seem to walk them in the middle of day when it’s super hot...

The best laugh I've had today: I accidentally closed the forum tab just now, so did a quick Google search for 'dog forum'. The forum came up second in the list Google returned, and underneath the description of the website it read 'General Dog Forum · ‎Puppy Forum · ‎Attractions · ‎JudyN'

Josie, it's very flattering that you've decided the best way to get new members is to mention me as your chief attraction :D:D:D

I love the fact that they take their dogs everywhere! I hardly ever take Roxy with me if I go to town because I would never leave her in the car alone and hate the idea of tying her up outside shops. Although a few weeks ago she had her annual vets appointment and afterwards we went to a little cafe where I used to work. They allow dogs in and it was so lovely to be able to sit down for a coffee and have her by my feet! That was her first visit to a cafe and she was so good! :) I thought she'd terrorise the place! I wish more places would allow dogs!

That sounds nice to be able to have a coffee with her. The newsagents where my husband is from lets dogs in. It's nice to be able to take them with you on a walk to the local shop.

@Teddy560 Yes, the local shop also allows dogs, they do have a 'parking' spot outside but I noticed a sign the other day to say dogs are allowed in.

That is very funny indeed!! Although I think it may have something to do with you being logged in. Sorry to disappoint :p

I'm on a come down from a busy weekend...

Our friends who married in Italy had their UK wedding reception on Friday night - A party for all the guests that didn't go to Italy.

Then on Saturday we had another friends wedding!

I'm feeling rather sad it's all over :(

For the first time in my life I felt depressed coming home from holiday. Ive battled for weeks with the local council trying to get them to take notice of the litter problems in our local park.. Looking around I realise in the week Ive been away nothing has been done, it looks like a tip.

@Josie Im now planning for my daughters wedding reception, a very casual affair but still a lot of work!

Oh how frustrating for you! We felt like that when we returned from Italy. The streets outside St.Pancras were just covered in litter. We even saw a lad in front of us kick loads of newspapers about the place :mad:

That's exciting! when is it? I better start planning my wedding now

Hi everyone, hope you're all well? Just thrown Teddy outside with a raw chicken drumstick and he's been engrossed for the last 20 minutes eating/gnawing it. Surely there must be extra benefits to feeding raw as it mimics "natural" behaviours like this. Any-which-way I am a fan as NOTHING keeps him this occupied for so long.
