Good Evening, I am looking to start a 'random chat' thread, just a bit of fun. So I will start off with a question and start your own conversations when you want. Is anyone online?

Did experience thunder and lightning last night? I did not get any thunder/lightning.

No thunder and lightning at Teesside and, sods law, because we went on holiday last week, the sun is beating down on us today grrrrrrrr.
Is anybody going to any good, dog friendly events this summer?

We went on the Great Global Greyhound Walk yesterday - there's walks all over the world (hence 'Global') and our contingent had 65 greyhounds and other sighthounds. The aim is to promote the breed/type and demonstrate how well-behaved they are - which they were!

We passed one person as she was delving into her bag for a treat for her (I think) Bichon Frise. Jasper (on lead, so not able to pester) said 'Hello, were you getting that treat out for me?' to her and she explained to him, at great length, that he really wouldn't be interested in her treats as they were so tiny. She then got one out and held it out to him to show him how tiny it was, and then gave it to her dog. Poor old Jasper felt well cheated - she had OFFERED him this dainty delicacy and then taken it away again! I had to give him one of his treats to help him over the trauma:D

lol, so sorry but I had to laugh imagining the indignant look on the Bichon's face. Bit naughty of the lady to torment him but I am sure it wasn't done with any malice. I am sure the treat you gave him was much nicer x

@Josie My daughters wedding is all a bit back to front..

She wants her brother to do a humanist blessing but he lives in Ireland so we are having the blessing and reception in August at my house ( while he is here on holiday) and the actual signing of the registry will be in November.. This is because my daughter says the offical part means very little to her so she has chosen the cheap option ie; a Monday morning simple offical signing with only us witnesses there.. This is a free service offered by our town hall, so she can spend her money having a nice rock and roll themed reception instead of stuffy official ceremonies.
Shes thinking of walking in to the Dixie Cups , chapel of love !

Oh wow - that does sound very unusual! Does that mean you all have to dress up Rock n Roll themed?

Well we love our 60s dresses and music so its flared dresses and matching gym shoes.. lots of rock and roll music and jelly beans and pink caddilac sweets as party favours..

It sounds great! You will have to let us know how it goes and send some photo's if you can :)

Sounds great! We went for a quick ceremony at the local town hall, daughter resisted the urge to play the theme tune from the western 'the good, the bad and the ugly' as we walked in and then it was a good old fashioned p**s up at our local!! The bar bill was the most expensive part of the whole do:D!
Reckon you will all have a ball Mad Murphey, enjoy!

That's annoying, but once its shown on tv I'm sure you will find it on YouTube.

I agree with you there @JudyN
Can rabbits live alone? Of course but they are a lot happier with company, they're social animals. Living alone can cause loneliness, boredom and even depression, although of course human company does satisfy some of that companionship need, it doesn't compare to company of their own kind to groom and play with. Unfortunately when I was younger I did not know this and had a few rabbits but only one at a time. If I was to be a rabbit mum again I would get at least two. Just like I would not get just one horse etc. Certain animals need company while others need solitude. Just think of pet shops, in the one in my home town they never have a rabbit in a cage on it's own, when they get rabbits in for sale, there's either always more than one or if there is just one it is in a cage with guinea pigs. Also, the rabbits at college, are housed with other rabbits and guinea pigs.
