I've been asked to help find a new home for Jake, a gorgeous young (14 months) blue whippet boy, currently in the Bristol area.
He needs a new forever home as his current home is splitting up and they can't keep him. I'm tempted myself but not sure how my older girls will adapt to a bouncy...
It's ages since I've been on to K9 but I'm so pleased to see lots of familiar faces still here. I also want to say "hello" and "good luck" to Geoff, and a massive "thank you" to Nigel and Jduy. You've made a fabulous friendly forum here, and I certainly owe my whippet love affair to stumbling...
Someone has suggested this FAQ thread, which seems a good idea.
It would be great if people with experience and knowledge could add to it.
It's been suggested that often a new member comes on and the first thing they do is ask for details of where to get pups from. K9 has a No Advertising...
Sonny is LOVELY! And I really like that pic of him and Max up at the window. They look great dogs.
Re weighing, when you next take him to the vets they should have walk-on scales that you can check his weight on. They'll probably do that anyway periodically for calculating meds etc.

We had to make this decision almost 2 years ago with our beloved 14 year old cat Jasper, and it was dreadful... I nearly cancelled the vet's call so many times the morning we were waiting. But finally the time came, and...
