Plan A failed, that was put him in kitchen in cage with brothers basket next to him, that was a no no, he cried, and we could here him scratching, when we went down he was panting and not happy so, Plan B in their baskets in our room, he didn't wander but spent most of the night trying to make...

Spoke with vet, Smarties bandage off and leg checked all seems good, pain controlled, if like this over night can come home tomorrow! Yipee, though we will have to syringe feed him until he can be coaxed around but vet thinks he will do better at home if pain can be managed, they think he...

Rang vets to find out what's happening as 2.30 heard nothing, message was he was still not eating or drinking having to syringe feed him, I am going to ring later to find out how strong my little man is :wub: , if he would do better at home with us, or if he has just given up :(

Pete my other dog broke his leg 4 years ago but lower down so the joint wasn't involved but still had to have two operations numerous trips to the vet and curtailing off exercise and confined to basket or lead but now he is walking and running he gets the odd very rare twinge but hasn't stopped...

Spoke with vet last night Smartie is much more settled, on lower pain relief but it's working, had a wee and poo!! (hadn't had one since last week), seems happier in himself, taking medication in tablet form, taking fluids and food though by syringe!, having kennel round this am so may be home...

Well Smartie is more settled but will not eat, they are having a kennel round tomorrow and will ring me to say whats happening we are all missing him including his brother Peter, but he is in the right place , night night little fella hope to fetch u soon x :wub: :wub:
