i had a hell off a time trying to get my vet to remove dew claws... and a firm no from all the other vets in my area. So i'm guessing no race experienced vets in my domain.

hmm. That's interesting cos my brother is a highly qualified nurse and he suggested some form of pressure bandage as a preventative measure.

When their eye is removed.. They still have eyelashes ane eyebrows and they just look as if their eye is closed.
and it's a lot better than being in pain.

Sometimes after racing, but only after three or four races he develops a swollen neck and iritated throat.
other times he races all day with no obvious affects.

:( I had a jackie who lost her eye. Due to her previous owners neglect. Didn,t bother her one bit. Except for the occasional startle the cat gave her by sneaking up on her. lol. She was more comfortable and happier than she had been for years.. :)
