Well done to everybody, lovely showground and really hot, congrats to JAX on JW. Just have to point out that Higham press dont always get it right cause Blandings Inspiration got 3rd in YD :teehee: well there you go!!! Have to mention that the JHA had their semi finals today and...
Polly is stunning, she obviously senses more rosettes to come so perhaps she wants to recyle this one!! Love the tortoise, what is its name? does it get shaken by the dogs, they could use its shell to chew if they get short of other things :- "

Karen, I think you might be right, at the moment its difficult to resist adding another and making the two up to three. :huggles: Its so lovely doing the puppy classes.
With my Richard leaving the nest, that leaves a space! :- " well for 6 months of the year anyway.
Can anyone help, I remember last autumn a list of this years judges being available. Is it too early? Can anybody direct me to a source or post it hear. Many thanks, I am trying to plan early!! Thats what comes from being a teacher.

Better late than never. My daughter and I had a great time at the show. Only ever been there for the agricultural show, lovely venue. Sorry we dont come up and say hello, Im getting shy in my old age. :b we have a blue and a brindle dog, who is litter brother to Karens Frodo, and we...
Hi, many folks have mentioned e bay. I have bought quite a few 'cot' duvets on e bay. They fit in beds really well, not too bid, and of course they are easily washable and to a whippets desire for cosyness! :D
Is there a rule, written or otherwise that says that an exhibitor should not show their dog under their breeder. (Im sure you know what I mean, but this sentence sounds very iffy!! :teehee: i.e. when a judge is from a known kennel, would those people owning a dog with that affix not show on...
Great choice of dog. My first dog was a working sheepdog - nightmare in the house. Great outside but never really bonded as a companion, didnt realise it then but really wanted a lap dog!! Now had a whippet for 3 years and had to have another after 18 months - they definately grow on you...
Well I think its great, according to KC we will all be on the underground, imagine that lugging crates etc. Or, even better, I want to ride on the boat on the Thames!!! Great sense of humour I think :D
Jan says that there is a great difference in the movement between northern and southern dogs. I have heard comments above size, would I be right in thinking that northern whippets tend to be smaller, more akin to the original racing whippets? Are there any other physical differences in type...
Hi, I think your boy looks beautiful. I am new to showing but I thought dogs had to be entire in the show ring. The Whippet Breed Council, Illustrated standard of the breed says on P5 "Note, Male animals should have two apparently normal testicles fully descended into the scrotum". As dogs...
Oophs, back again, Hernvalley you ask about shows in Kent, there are also loads of shows held at South of England show ground, Ardingly, East Sussex, not much futher west (depending how far east you are of course!) :D
I too have been tracking the bench numbers, I think Lisa on 5005 is my nearest, I am 5011. Looking forward to seeing everybody. Hope the weather is OK, dont want to drive in ice etc. keeping fingers crossed. Best of luck everybody.
Kathy
