does anyone know if dead crabs on the beach are poisonous to dogs?????
Bill the beagle has eaten a couple and I need to know if he's likely to be really ill?
My OH chased him, which is the dumbest thing he could do, so Bill did his party trick of swallowing a huge dead crab as fast as he...
The beauty of facebook is that you add those who are friends as friends, ok this includes a few "virtual" friends but you get to pick and choose those who are like minded or have the same interests. On the other hand the diversity of folk on a forum can keep it interesting.....I don't know...
I'm sorry your boy is not well............But....
I'm surprised your vet hasn't suggested the possibility that the coughing could be related to the heart problem as your boy is on vetmedin......it is not uncommon for dogs with heart problems to cough and gag a bit as though trying to clear...
They are more bouncy and boisterous than the whippets and a lot more disobedient but they are of course a hound breed so are sweet and friendly natured if raised kindly and they are very affectionate and snuggly but not for the easily offended as they are naughty and get up to a lot of mischief...
thank you, they have been well cared for ...very well loved atleast ;) they are everything to me.
I must admit most people who meet them don't believe how old they are :))
Badger( as if you didn't know :clown: )age 14

hmm..I never liked electric shock collars but know a very respected veterinary surgeon who has been properly trained to use one and she uses it on her cross breed but only under certain circumstances....I know for a fact that it has twice saved her dogs life and i even witnessed the avoidance...
Thank you...my beautiful boy had a really good afternoon yesterday...I took him round the corner from my house to a playing field...thought he might like fifteen minutes of fresh air, having been very poorly and cooped up indoors.....let him off his lead and started to walk slowly across the...
Thank you...I try not to think about the end if I'm honest, if I think about him leaving me I just cry...I seem to have turned into a very emotional creature overnight :b  .....it's incredibly hard to deal with...tomorrow it will be one year since our beautiful whippet Woody died and we...
just a little update.....
Badger went back to the vets last night......he was supposed to be going in to have surgery next week to remove a lump from inside his eyelid but the vet has said he won't be able to have the op probably not at all..he would not survive the anaesthetic.....we are...
hi he hasn't coughed since starting the Vetmedin but no I won't consider fluid tablets, I would have him pts rather than give him diuretics as I don't feel he will have a good enough quality of life..once he is having difficulties from fluid you are then just losing the fight and it is probably...
sorry meant to say.. I think the vomitting is a reaction to the Vetmedin, apparently it is rare for side effects to occur and they are vomitting and or loss of appetite and Badger has had both.....I have found he doesn't vomit if i give the tablet in a small amount of food ie a spoonful.
I gave...
Hi thanks, yeah I had already considered pancreatitis but we already have a dog with it and he's not showing the same symptoms, besides Badger has had full bloods done and there is no indication from the bloods to show lipase or amylase being out of the normal range, they were dead centre.
Hi, we had an awful day yesterday and Badger kept trying to hide..he tried to squeeze himself behind the bathroom sink and he vomitted in the morning and just seemed very unhappy and unsettled...he was sort of restless all the time but he didn't want to go for a walk because I tried and he just...
As well as my five dogs, I foster and rehabilitate rescue rats...I currently have fifteen, seven of which are having medication five times a day for respiratory problems which can be time consuming( imagine a tiny dog refusing to take its pills and you can't exactly just push it over the back of...
