I don't know what it means but the breeder I got my beagle boy James from, was very outspoken about the fact she was an accredited breeder...this didn't stop her selling me a dog with entropion though so I don't think it means much to be accredited if an idiot like her can be accredited.
To those of you that feel bad about feeding dry food..DON'T..I don't, there is nothing wrong with the choices I have made for my dogs, they are fit healthy and happy..one is a rescue who incidentally was actually fed solely on tripe before we had him and had intestinal problems and yet he hadn't...
try vetuk online for Hills, they often have offers on certain size bags.
Really glad the dogs have settled and the vet is pleased with their progress...long may it continue.
personally, i would just give them the vet food and no other treats for the time being, just let their systems settle and get used to a single food...onceyou've had several weeks of normal pooing and healthy dogs, then try introducing different things..but just try one type of treat and see what...
thanks folks, they're both fine, back to normal mischief...Bill is healing nicely and has been base jumping from the double rabbit hutches as usual!! :clown: (w00t)
for sure everyone is entitled to an opinion..which means "everyone" whether they advocate dry food or raw but it's not just a matter of sharing an opinion that upsets some folk but also the manner in which opinion is given. Explaining the values of raw feeding may encourage people to give it a...
I can only speak from my own experiences and say that I have tried raw feeding my dogs but unfortunately the ones with chronic pancreatitis and colitis and the one with an allergy to chicken all developed chronic diarrhoea on the raw and no matter what I tried I couldn't get it back under...
the best success we have had was with James Wellbeloved Duck and Rice...Little Bill the beagle had lots of trouble with blood and runny poo and it turns out he is allergic to chicken...since putting him on Duck and Rice( Duck being a novel protein) he has been completely normal( in the pooing...
Hi and thank you......I'm not keen on extending leads but having two beagles makes them a necessity at times especially because Little Bill cannot be let off lead at the moment as he has practically no recall. James can go off lead but since I walk them together, Bill goes mad if James is...
thanks...I just didn't expect them to jump..stooopid beagles and James is such a bright boy, am clicker training him nicely and teaching him a few tricks with it too..just haven't got a " don't jump the wall" trick in our repertoire yet (w00t) .
Poor Little Bill's tummy is ever so sore...
walk towards a low wall with two beagle on extending leads!!!!
we did....they jumped the wall (w00t) and fell 12 feet onto barbed wire/brambles and broken glass!!!
I ended up jumping into brambles/barbed wire and broken glass to rescue them (w00t) :clown:
I was shaking like a leaf..when...
Thanks for the nice wishes everyone......Badger and I had an awful night, he was very stressed and unsettled and kept standing at the top of the stairs (w00t) like I needed more worry!!
His little face was very swollen last night and he was quite stiff this morning. I've just got in from work...
