What a gorgeous boy you have! I also get the baby greyhound thing all the time and i've had the deer comments too (although I happen to agree with that).
BUT the weirdest two comments i've had is one from a small child that pointed to Merlin and said ''look dad a kangaroo'' and on another...
Thanks for the advice, I will try the salt water on it. It's not actually his pad, it's the top of his foot - looks like something has sliced into it sideways. I will have to get some lavender oil for the future, I haven't heard of using that for cuts before.
Thanks again.
I let Merlin out to the loo earlier and unbeknown to me there was a cat in the garden - a frantic chase followed under bushes and trees - I kept seeing a cat flying from different areas with Merlin in hot pursuit whilst I screamed praying he wouldn't catch it. I have no idea how it got away but...
I had exactly the same situation last year when we extended our kitchen - Merlin couldn't understand that what was previously part of our garden was now part of our house, an understandable problem I think - therefore our new kitchen floor was used as a public convenience for a while.
I dealt...
Bless, what lovely photographs - Winston is so like his brother. Willow has also lost loads of his teeth, his fangs have gone now (thankfully) which makes it slightly less painful when he bites our noses and ears!
Poor Tarka, it brought tears to my eyes seeing the pic of him trying to walk with his poor little leg. it's so heartbreaking to see an animal hurt or ill and unlike a human you can't explain to them what is going on.
Wishing him lots of luck :luck: :luck: hope he gets on well at the vets...
:D I'm glad I asked now......what lovely stories, especially the one about the whippet who ran home from the vets. Loved the pic of Bluey, what a lovely girl and what a ripe old age she lived to.
So.....looks like that lady may not of been exaggerating afterall - it's very encouraging and if...
I know that whippets on average live to around 15 years of age, however, i've met two people lately who have told me of owning whippets in the past who lived way beyond the expected time.
One lady said her whippet lived to 19 and another lady reckons her whippet lived to 24 - not sure if she...
Loved the photo's and glad we're not the only ones - we went to Padstow in July and took about a million photo's of Merlin on various beaches in and around Padstow.
We have never seen so many whippets in one place - in the area I live you don't see many at all so it was great to meet so many...
Have you considered having a professional dog sitter stay in your home or look after your dogs in their home. I know the former can be pricey but it's not as expensive to have them stay with someone. You can get a list of sitters in your area who are registered with NARP (national association...
Owww I had the full tea bag thing the other day - I always take my own supply to work (being fussy with tea) they fished my supply out of my bag and chewed them all up over the living room carpet..........bless em!
My company gave us all a small hamper for Xmas which contained mini bottles of wine - the wine was long gone (of course) but I thought the little hamper might come in useful for something, I couldn't decide what to use it for but the boys decided for me.............! When I checked on them 5...
p.s. I forgot to say you can use Bach Flowers for animals too so may also be good to give to Tarka - i've used remedies before when Merlin's had a nasty experience (such as being bitten by a dog and kicked by a horse). I just put in his water or if I want him to take it quickly put it in some...
I've already left an earlier message but after reading how your poor husband is feeling I thought i'd just add that IMO Bach Flower Remedies can be helpful. As a complementary therapist I use them myself and often recommend them to clients. You can get them in Boots and health shops, Star of...
