well i dont think having a vet is a bad thing is it?
i know what u mean, i think it is a shame though as i work in horse racing and betting causes no problem there, within the racing community(among trainers/lads owners etc).
No i've got no intention of breeding from him. I think on his personality and sum other traits he'd make an interesting lurcher but i'm not gonna do it.
anyway there's a difference between having views and airing them and trouble making (in a non-supressional environment anyway)
nobody - but a lot of ppl for example spay bitches to avoid seasons and the percieved probelms that they pose, or cut dogs in the beleif that they will be less aggressive.
Yeh i take ur point and ur quite right. So where does this leave my bitch (dam of the dog in question) and the (wellknown and prolific) sire (who i dont own)?
Ok thanks.
If it was up to me i would run a tote, the profits from which go to reitred greyhound charities or similar. And i'd maybe have a maximum bet and max takeout to stop anything other than betting for fun.
Is there ever much betting on whippet racing or lure coursing?
i know some ppl find it distasteful but surely there's always room for a little home-made touch ;)
i know they used to have betting on coursing, does it ever happen in the whippet world?
I kept it because I prefer them to have that testosterone edge, not to breed - it was an academic question really!
Personally i wouldnt be sure it was genetic - this dog is by a well-used sire who hasnt had this trouble before.
I've been coming into sum heavy flak on a pedigree/showing forum and would like sum help and advice from this saner branch of the dog world!!
I have an entire dog; he is very strong and healthy, but due to chest infections in his first month and generally being a runt he is small.
He had one...
Hi there!
I have three sharp and gutsy cocker spaniels - if they were longdogs i swear they'd do very well coursing/lure coursing. I'd love to run them in lure courses, or even races.
Are there any events run for dogs other than logdogs?
regards Sam
