Really enjoyed it yesterday love the bend racing, although the "lure Gods" have not been to kind to Bentley at his last two bend meetings :ermm: . Well done to all, especially Shropshire Jockey on getting his half coat.
We're not going then, we only go for the egg and bacon rolls (w00t) . Or in the case of the catering van at the Independant egg and bacon half loaves, they're bloody massive.
Good luck to everyone going, love the bend racing  .
Hi Dwight, "non peds" are whippets that have greyhound in them and not recognised by the Kennel Club. They are normally faster than our pure bred whippets.
We second that  , also well done to your boy Percy, i thought he ran brilliantly in all his 4 races yesterday  . Bentley seems fine after his incident and that spray stuff was superb really dried up his graze.
One thing i did learn yesterday is to always go with your gut...
We would also like to thank the Indi for a great days bend racing. We really love watching Marley running that track. Well done to all the winners, there were some really good races. Well done Flash in the Pan winning the heavyweights and Shropshire Jockey for pushing him all the way.
Markamy's...
Well done Jeanette, first time i trapped him at Honeyhills and he ran against our Marley i new he was going to be good, he really is going to hard to beat in the heavyweight group.
Also we'll done to the Brown's Satin Sunshine and Phyll's Woodleigh Ebony, both in their first WCRA champs and...
Wow great photos, I bet it was really hard choosing :sweating: , love them all but especially January, August and September (what a beautiful girl), well done
Oh yeah when is the calendar up for sale?
That's a great amount of money, are the charity events happening all over the summer like they used to at the Lizard and if so on what days are they being held so that we can attend on the week we are down there.
Oops you need a bigger wheelie bin  .
I had a word with the Rob at the Northern on Sunday and he gave me the name of the company (based in hampshire) they used, and their whole track was done for £250 and it does look good too. I'll speak to you soon.
It seems ages since we have been to Newmarket. I bet it was good to be club racing again. We've seen Jeanettes dog Chef at Harvel and he is very impressive, he is gonna be one to watch out for in the heavyweight group definately.
I can't believe Lotties Katie is running already, i bet she loved...
Just like to thank the Northern PWRC for their welcome and enjoyable open. We had an fun but hectic weekend and are completely knackered now  . Well done to all the winners, especially Just Maybe in the heavy weights beating our boys into second and third place  . The 20-22lb...
Yeah it's a shame that we've clashed with such a very worthy charity open, hope it goes well and makes money. It's such a shame the date could not have been different, we would seriously have loved to have attended both :( . Oh well there is a big plus side for us in the south east I suppose.
Congratulations on a great amount  , I heard the queue was almost continuous for trials. Lets hope it attracks a few new whippet racers as well as been for a great cause.
Thank you everybody on your comments on this thread, i've also received several calls and PM's from people at home about this. It seems everybody is in agreement that it is the most exciting form of racing but the lack of schooling and opportunity and fear of injury are the main problems.
I'm...
Great time to put this entry form on  I suppose we'd better be there now after my last thread
Alan has taken absolutely brilliant pictures of the bend racing at both the Independant and Honeyhills. I hope he would consider doing it again. I still go back and look at them...
