    Mel And Kim

Mel broke a toe and I was doing 2 sets of walkies each night. Mel and Chloe our 15 year old collie and then Kim. To speed things up, I tried kim running next to the bike. She got it straight away and loves it. Mel is now better and didn't quite get it initially, so I got a 2 headed lead...

    Mel And Kim

When do greyhounds stop growing!!! Mel is a big lump at 33Kg. No fat that I can find. Kim was around 28 but now seems to be packing on more muscle and out-running and out-lasting her big sister. A right little missile who recovers within minutes whilst Mel needs a lie-down for 24 hours. Sheets...

    Mel And Kim

Pwawn Cwackers. Mel likes prawn crackers. Kim likes prawn crackers. I was giving them left-overs one at a time, each dog taking a cracker and taking a few paces to deal with it and then coming back for another. I was watching telly and not really paying attention. After about 6 each, Kim comes...

    The Need For Speed.............

Little rocket is now back to normal. Red mist, tunnel vision and the need for speed back to full operational status :clown: Just a slight scar (which is amazing). Playing with a pair of Weimeramas tonight (who hav NO CHANCE of keeping up)

What's Your Routine When Your Dogs Gets The Shi...?

This seems to work for me;- Make sure they don't have worms (check poop!). Then feed anything with veg or wholemeal in it. The greyhounds like brown bread or toast (will eat it with nothing else as a treat) or baked beans sneaked in to their meal. Eggs also good. Try and give them these things...

    The Need For Speed.............

Yes, it was a bit of a shock. The little sod was very quiet next day ( I booked time off work as the vet wasn't sure about the stitches and I wasn't going to leave her alone like that). But, by the evening she was drinking and eating. Later, our vet said the first one had done a brilliant job...

    The Need For Speed.............

If you have a greyhound, you know that the first 5 minutes off the lead is like launching a rocket; all the blood goes to the paws, the vision narrows to a dot and they look like Clarkson in the Atom mixed with drugs and Red Bull. Hyperspace? Nah, LUDICROUS SPEED! Mel and Kim let off the lead...

    Beans?

Sardines last about 1 second here! Really helps their coats and skin - no dandruff now. I've been giving them brown bread toast - that gets troffed and definitely stops the $hits o:) They like pasta, but only get it once a week or so. Brown pasta is probably better, but expensive. We've had...

Best Dry Food To Feed Greyhound?

Hi, ours seem to like the bakers puppy and the greyhound specific stuff (which is quite small). The collie likes to crunch larger dried foods (like Wonderdog). The greyhounds eat it, but prefer smaller. I haven't found one that will will always scoff, although finding none of them like seems...

    Beans?

So Mel has just troffed half a tin of beans as well as the usual tuna, pasta, dried and tinned food. Apart from the obvious dangers (stretching greyhound, chest on the carpet, bum in the air!) - any reason why she should not have a bean supplement now and again?
