mmmm, a real toughie because after Whippets, there are several other Hound breeds that i would have on my list. I love Chloe the Dobermann, but wouldn't have another.........mmmm, probably would be a Terrier - perhaps a Manchester or maybe a Belington, but not sure about the coats though.

I am not surprised because the sad fact of the matter is that people are bloody greedy. Unfortunately, there seems to be people who will pay these crazy prices, which just fuels these kind of breeders and keeps the cycle going. Obviously this sort of breeder is just seeing MONEY MONEY MONEY ;)

I personally would never charge a different price depending on the sex. The same love, sweat and tears goes into raising each and everyone of them - doesn't make a difference whether its a dog or bitch, or if going as a show potential or pet only.
