    Changing Feeding for Blue

Since we started Blue on a raw diet (500g in the morning, 500g at lunch and 200g Kibble for Dinner) we've noticed he has started scavenging more, often stealing food off the kitchen worktops and trying to get in the bin (he has a few times). Before he was getting about 600g kibble (Purina Robust...

    Changing Feeding for Blue

My frozen raw beef arrived today for Blue. They are a 80.10.10 mix so have bone and offal in, so these should be OK right ? I have 34 of them in the spare freezer. They are in 454g frozen sausage shaped packs so I intend to give 2/3 of one of these tomorrow morning and mix in a handful of some...

    Changing Feeding for Blue

Thank you excuseme that's really helpful. I'll get rid of the Purina and get the one you recommend. I bought a load of beef 80.10.10 raw from Primal Raw and I'll mix it with the Millies Forerunner or Alert. Thanks again for your help

Blue Bear - Aged 18 Weeks

Here is Bev with Blue (Old English Sheepdog x Saint Bernard) at puppy training last week. He is getting big now and getting quite well behaved (although I never thought I would see the day). We still have a few episodes with him going a bit nuts but overall he is turning into a wonderful fluffy...

    Changing Feeding for Blue

I've come across a company called Primal Raw who are not far from me and offer delivery to my door. Their products that I think Blue would like are the Birmingham Raw bulk buys of Beef, Chicken and Lamb and Beef Complete. They are all classified as 80.10.10 so look like they have everything he...

    Changing Feeding for Blue

Thanks JudyN that article was really helpful. I definitely think raw is the way to go for Blue, so I'll get clicking away on the Natures Menu web site later today. Out of interest, the raw meat is cubed in nuggets but the pack is sold in Kg. Does anyone know (roughly) how many nuggets are in...

    Changing Feeding for Blue

Thank you for your help. I'll get some raw puppy food (beef or chicken) and give him one raw and 2 dry mix meals a day and go from there. I'll get some natures menu mixer too and put some in his afternoon meal. Thanks again for your advice, I really appreciate it.

    Changing Feeding for Blue

Thank you for your help, TinyTim. I'm starting to think that having a 50/50 raw/dry mix diet might be the best for Blue. I've read that raw is far better for dogs than dry mix but I wouldn't know where to start. I checked out Natures Menu and their products look really good and not much more in...

    Changing Feeding for Blue

Hello Blue will be 16 weeks old on Thursday 21st December and weighs around 15Kg. We feed him approx 120g of dry mix 4 times a day so in total he has about 500g each day Would you recommend feeding him 3 times a day once he is 16 weeks old and increase the amount of dry mix to about 180g each...
