Dylan is having a visitor at the weekend. :)
Fingers crossed he gets on with the deerhound x girlie he is meeting and that he will be off to his new home.
(This thread can be locked now moderators, many thanks.)
Dylan is about 12 - 18 months and is lovely.
He likes to play with other dogs and is even "cat friendly" in the house.
He is a real fuss monster and loves people. He is fully house trained.
(He has had a bath since that picture was taken. :) )
He is currently in the care of HW Animal...
Hi Feefee,
Yes we have appealed on Dogpages - no luck so far and it is so sad as this poor fella is just crying whilst he is in the kennels - he doesn't understand why he is there.
Oh dear you naughty thing keeping all your foster dogs!! :D Bet they are all pleased you did though...
Blue is 2 years old.
He is a loving family dog who has come into rescue due to a family split :(
He has lived very happily with small children and is excellent with other dogs. A bit of a puller on lead but some simple training will soon sort that out.
He is a lovely, lovely dog, very sad...
Oh lordy she is absolutely beautiful.
Fancy such a youngster becoming a stray, what a good job she was picked up before any harm came to her.
.....and she is a very lucky girl coming to be a member of your lovely extended family Janet. I know just how loved she will be.
Alison xx

The very beautiful Ginger is looking for a new home as his owner is unable to care for him any longer. He has lived with other dogs, cats and older children. He has been in kennels for several months now and is getting really depressed.
If you are interested in meeting Ginger he is...
We had 7 dogs come into our pound yesterday - 7 in one day :o
The xmas rush appears to have started.
I don't understand it ....out with the old and in with the new perhaps?
- maybe people are feeling the pinch due to mortage rate increases and fuel price rises...
Whatever the reason we are...
The rescue I volunteer for (Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue) usually requires that home checks are done before a dog can be adopted.
I do homehcecks both for our rescue and for other rescues. I also arrange homechecks.
If you want you can ring me and I can tell you all about it, and could...
Janet, I am so sorry to hear Twiggy is not well. The symptoms you describe here do not sound like arthritis to me, though I don't know what they do sound like.
There are some weird viruses about so maybe it is one of them?
Sending positive thoughts to the lovely Twiggy and hoping she gets...
What a stunning, whippety pupster
I have to admit I am soft when it comes to the dead rabbit pics, and wouldn't have the first clue how to work a lurcher, although I see the odd bod going out from time to time and admire their dogs, and I foster plenty of lurchery beasts coz I adore...
That's really interesting Billy boy. Thanks for sharing. I love hearing about these sort of things. The world of lurchers and collies and their breeding lines to suit specific work purposes is fascinating. :D
Well Shaggy is off to meet a new family today so fingers crossed it could be his...
What fantastic action shots Fynnsfan...and what a beautiful dog - I also agree he looks deerhound x beardie!
He is an unusual looking lurcher too!...and fabulous with it of course! :D
Shaggy stands about 24" to the shoulder so considerable shorter than the flying Fynn! He is quite a...
I know what you mean Veejay, however Shaggy has the frame of a lurcher under all that hairy coat. It is hard to tell from the piccies. He also has lurchery personality and traits.
I reckon the collie in him is likely to be bearded collie .
Have to share my new foster dog with you - I have had many lurchers over the years, but never one that looks like this one!!
Meet Shaggy - (2 year old collie x lurcher)
He is a babe. He has a great temperament and loves other dogs as well as people. (He has come from a family with...
It is so fabulous how Willow has settled in with Bea and his new girlfriend Lily. I am absolutely thrilled.
He also recognises Janet already (mmm, chicken wings lady :D !!) and wags his tail at her, which just shows how relaxed and happy he is - he was weeks here before he ever wagged his...
Hello all, I am Alison.
I foster dogs for HWAR - mainly the young boisterous things, but also some old and decrepits!! I take them into my home and treat them as one of my own, give them as much vet treatment, tlc and rehab as they need, assess their likes/dislikes, needs etc and hopefully...
Thankyou - in just over 2 weeks time Willow will be off to his forever settee with Bea and her family and friends!! :D
We will miss him very much, as we have got used to the old fella tottering about, but given the general level of mayhem here we think it is definitely in Willow's best long...
Hi Keith, I asked a friend about the pic and got this response ....
-his exposure was wrong, he needs to look at the relationship between f numbers and shutter speed
-the bigger the f number for example the smaller the apperture and the greater the depth of field
- if i were to be taking a...
