Many of you may remember we lost our dear Willow 4 weeks ago, and his 'roomie', our 14 year old Lily, missed him so much, so we arranged, through JR Whippet rescue, to take a little girl who had been found as a a stray.

Unfortunately, Lily had to have an emergency hysterectomy last week, but is slowly recovering (got a gold star at the vets Saturday :thumbsup: ), though she still sleeps a lot and has not much interest in anything.

Callie, as we called our new baby - and we think she is barely a year old, and as her vulva and teats are a bit swollen, may be coming into season, - was collected yesterday after he lovely foster-mum Sandy, brought her to the Rescue co-ordinator.

She is a sheer delight - loves everyone and every dog, but is not too excitable and seems to be gentle with Lily. She enjoyed her first walk with Polly today and we hope that in time, Polly will run with her and lose some of her excess weight (Polly's not Callie's -she is very thin).
