Have you tried covering the crate with a blanket like a 'den', and putting in a heat pad? We had endless problems with Brynn until we put him in the crate with Murphy, and now they love to snuggle up together! I think he got cold and lonely.

They look just like my Murphy's paws - very compact. In my whippet book it describes them as 'cat paws'. They have never caused him any problems.
