I feed part raw and part complete. I use a fish and potato complete which is grain free and is 60 % fish and also feed lamb ribs, chicken wings, heart and tripe which I get from my village butchers, whole rabbits which they provide themselves, and sometimes sprats from Morrisons.
Having had a...
I personally wouldn't breed a litter when there are so many dogs unwanted being put to sleep for lack of homes or stuck in rescues :( I don't doubt your girl is lovely, but also bear in mind your bitch might have a large litter and will you be confident in finding good lifetime homes for the...
 Agreed with Lurcherman..... well done for your efforts but a questionable charity. There is a link here I will see if I can find it

A small meal at bedtime might help; I would normally suggest a handful of biscuit which settles the tummy of one of my whippets who does the exact same thing, but in your case you will have to find a suitable alternative
That was tiny! Hope you can read it!!
No once they have had kennel cough they won't catch that particular strain again. You should keep the second dog away from all public places as he will be infectious for approx. 3 weeks. Kennel cough is VERY contagious.
You don't always need a vets visit UNLESS your dog is very poorly,refusing...
:D Hi- I'm in St Newlyn East near Holywell Bay; fairly close to Perran sands where I would love to walk but only venture there from November to February  You're not that far away! Yes Cornwall is great for dog walking 8)
I meant to add that the best thing for a jellyfish sting is...
I think it depends how you use them.. mine are all crate trained but we no longer have their crates due to not enough space. Occasionally we have a visiting dog which uses a crate, and my 3 spend the whole time trying to cram into it because they like them so much!
So no, if used correctly not...
Brilliant post :) Really informative. We have plenty of adders here in Cornwall; my own dogs have been bitten 3 times! :o I don't walk in the dunes at all in the summer now, as the adders love them! I'd also like to add Water Intoxication as a risk in hot weather...
Just watched this! Can't believe what a clever dog this is... how many hours must it have taken in training :sweating: I love all the praise and encouragement being given to the dog, too

Theres some interesting info regarding over vaccination and its dangers here ; http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2013/07/03/new-pet-vaccination-protocol.aspx
Having had very bad reactions to vaccines from one of my cats in the past I no longer vaccinate my cats after the...
Hi Miss Yeh :) This was originally a forum for whippets/ lurchers and sighthounds- it was once VERY busy and has changed lots since I joined in 2009. I've no idea what the developer has planned for the site. I would love to see it up and running again
Just read this article and have to say it rang alarm bells when I read it. Some of this is so very sad and true.
A few years ago I asked the vet to put to sleep my elderly Ridgeback who had Laryngeal Paralysis. She had nearly died of inhalation pneumonia (a side effect of the paralysis) and...
Sad to say I agree  I think the site suffered when it was reorganised and lots of racing people left. I much preferred the old K9... I go on TWF sometimes but still keep coming back here for a look now and then
Ewwww!! Thats horrible, I would have freaked! Ours get ticks fairly often- theres plenty of deer in the woods where I walk in the summer to avoid the adders. I pull them off with a tick puller (easy to see in the whippets' short coats) but they take lots of killing.. they really dont...
