I’m the same with Lily, at 10 and a half, as long as she’s staying healthy and happy, she has quite a varied diet of anything I can get down her ;) we’ve actually managed some dog food! :D Scrambled egg and ham is her favourite which she has a couple of times a week, she’s happy and so am I :)...
Poor lad :( so frustrating when you can’t find out what’s causing it, we’ve wasted so much money trying different foods to get Lily to eat but never near the sort of cost you’re looking at! That’s crazy! Does he want to eat human food? ( stuff he probably shouldn’t have ;)) or is he off...
Been a few stories about on FB regarding dog walkers losing dogs ( and no proper explanation of how it happened) not sure if all are true but it would worry the life out of me if this happened to a dog I’d entrusted to a dog walker. Found a dog a couple of months back wandering about on a main...
So very heartbreaking for the owners, awful to lose your dog through illness or old age but having them found like this is just devastating, how could anyone be so callous and evil enough to do this, poor babies :(
Took mine in today but she wouldn’t walk on the shiny floor :D luckily hubs was with me so he stayed with her in the lobby area then we swapped over, they were quite happy to have her in there..:)
Aww that’s lovely news, just have to do what’s best for them  they’re no different to us regarding foods that upset our systems. I can’t tolerate broccoli etc....such a shame:D
I never really noticed who started the fight Judy so could well have been Lily, her personality has definitely changed since we lost Molly, guess she feels she has something to prove being on her own, I very nearly put her on her lead when the Viz was growling but thought she’d be ok with it...
Luckily the dog walker only has this dog once a week and we can easily avoid it, does have a bit of a reputation for being feisty ! Lily has known the pup she was protecting since it was 10 weeks old and they are often together on walks now and she never used to take much notice of it but no way...
Definitely Judy, I had to drag her off the other dog and I wasn’t that gentle in my panic! Not a mark on the other dog, poor girlie got the worst of it :(
Yes I can Jo, she can still go off lead on a different area of the common , somewhere the Vizla doesn’t go, these toughie terriers aren’t quite as tough as they make out :rolleyes:I feel so sorry for her, hope she’s a bit happier tomorrow.
Poor girl is really miserable tonight, not playing with her ball like she usually does :( didn’t want to go onto the common where she had the fight so we had a little walk around the roads and she was keen to come home.
Thanks Judy, didn’t spot all the bites til we got back home , Lils was in a rush to escape ! She’s looking a bit sad but did eat her dinner so must be feeling reasonably ok, just wish she’d pick on something her own size!
Guess we’ve been lucky getting through ten years without a fight but today she had a real set to with a Visla , met up with a dog walker friend who had her 6 month old retriever and a clients dog, met him before and he’s a bit of a brute, anyway he was growling at the pup and Lily went into...
Thanks Kara xx bit of a morbid thought but I worry about not being around and still have a pet that needs taking care of ,I know 67 isn’t exactly ancient :D and hopefully have a good few years left in me but I still fret :( we’ve never been without a dog so it will be tough when we have none but...
We keep thinking about another one but just can’t go through all the heartache , as we get older we seem to get more sensitive, we know we have to go through it again with Lily ( hopefully not for a few years) but she will be our last one, sad as it is.
