Cannot really remember how early I started and how fast I progressed with training my whippet to be on her own. The only thing I know, is that I started with very, very short intervals, making sure she never got distressed. That meant starting with closing the door between us when she was tired...

I think he looks rather well stacked. Agree with the comment on the positioning of the bait, though. I would suggest you photograph from from a slightly higher angle, as well. I suspect he looks rather more high on leg than he might actually be in those pics.

Pic two, definately. For all the above reasons, plus flash photos often make dogs look less substantial than they really are.
