    What Would You Do?

Cartman: Naughty Cartman.. wish I'd seen/heard that one. (w00t) "Politely".. any question that doesn't commence with three little words starting with WTF... :D

    What Would You Do?

What can you do? Mark the judge as one not to bother exhibiting under in future and walk away. That's really about it. Anything else makes you look like a bad loser. :( There will always be unfathomable judging decisions. The only way to know why the judge makes placements is to politely...

Congratuations to Charlie, Lisa and the Dryburghs. He's a wonderful boy. :) To get a GR CH on a Whippet is no mean feat.. plenty of competition in the breed.

    Woman Attacks Finn

One of the things that attracted me to Whippets is their generally low levels of aggression. They are largely social, and don't tend to display dominance or territorial aggression. Howard my youngster is very friendly - to the point where I need to control that for his own safety. Its common...

    Woman Attacks Finn

You know your dogs. Strangers don't. From the way she grabbed her dog's collar, I'd say it might have had some issues with strange dogs. Sometimes people grab their dogs, not to protect them from yours, but to stop them attacking. As the owner of a fear aggressive dog, I can tell you that no...

International Pedigree Wins Gillette Cup In The Us!

Seaspot, two of my poodles are keen coursers so Howard will definitely get his chance. He's still a bub so I don't want to start him too early. My toy poodle courses giving tongue.. an interesting doppler effect on a course. :b Here she is waiting her turn on the lure.. these days are...

International Pedigree Wins Gillette Cup In The Us!

Congratulations to you and Bonzer SSR - an awesome achievement. My Howard is a Khabaray Hugo Boss son - he has plenty of prey drive so I will take him lure coursing when he is old enough. Go the Whippets!! (w00t)

    Whippet's In Obedience

There are several Whippets in Australia with Companion Dog Exellent (CDX) obedience titles and at least one Utility Dog (UD) title. That's no mean feat for any dog. Scent discrimination and directed retrieving for a sighthound is an awesome training achievement. There are also several...

    Height Size Standards

Some countries have seen significant increases in average human height in a generation or two. The simple reason is that children are now being fed in a manner which optimises their genetic height potential. I have no doubt the same result has occured in dogs - not just Whippets. Many breeds...

    American Whippet Club National

Eating yoghurt made locally can help with this in humans - it might be worth trying it with dogs. :) I hope someone finds the time to post some pics - so many whippets in one place will be an event to capture for posterity.

    No, No, No!!!!!

Personally, I'd rather have access to the information, in the knowledge it might not be entirely accurate, than no information at all.

Ch Khabaray Hugo Boss (imp Uk)

I have a Khabaray Hugo Boss line bred son from his second last litter. Hugo Boss is on both sides of this mating too. How old is the pup Stonegrace? Howard (Windyle Artisan) has what I can only describe as bombproof temperament - friendly, outgoing, resilient. It's early days yet in his...

    No, No, No!!!!!

Being new to Whippets, I was blown away by the wealth of information on TWA. If people wish to feel protective of the dogs details they enter, perhaps entries could come with an option to be locked by their creator. Or if that's not possible, it be made plain to anyone entering a dogs details...

    New Aussie Grand Champion

Watched it happen from ringside.. he appeared to have been checked by the lead and hit the table with his chest to fall awkwardly off it. It was quite sickening to see. :( God bless him, he rallied to give my friend's daughter, handling him for the first time, a third in Junior Handlers at...

2009 Oz & Nz Show Results

Filled and frozen kongs would give her plenty to chomp on. If all else fails? Drugs. I have a couple of friends who've had to crate rest young dogs and in most cases, their vets recommended a low dose tranquiliser with success.
