I've been asked to help find a new home for Jake, a gorgeous young (14 months) blue whippet boy, currently in the Bristol area.
He needs a new forever home as his current home is splitting up and they can't keep him. I'm tempted myself but not sure how my older girls will adapt to a bouncy...
Someone has suggested this FAQ thread, which seems a good idea.
It would be great if people with experience and knowledge could add to it.
It's been suggested that often a new member comes on and the first thing they do is ask for details of where to get pups from. K9 has a No Advertising...
This topic is now open for anyone to contribute to.
If you know of any old threads which have covered this in particularly helpful detail then send me the links and I'll add them in

:( this year hasn't started off too well for me, one way and another :(
I'm suffering with this horrible cold virus that's going round, my daughter has earache, my lovely black rescue boy Monty has a nasty graze on his leg - and I nearly lost Josie on Saturday :o
For anyone who remembers...
 Happy Birthday Jodie!!
Monty sends his bestest wishes and thanks you from the bottom of his enormous whippety heart for posting about him on here and getting him a lovely new home (even if I do say so myself, lol). His fur is growing back as thick as a rug, his teeth are...
I've resized these for you

Lovely clear pics!
Let me know if you need any more help :luck:
I took the dogs for a really long walk this afternoon. The weather wasn't up to much, but it stayed dry most of the time  I took the camera and captured a few 'moments' along the way. I haven't posted any pics for ages, so I hope this batch show the difference in young Mr Monty. He's...

Every other Tuesday I take my three to an equestrian centre for a good runaround in safe conditions. No deer, and no barbed wire!
If anyone is interested, you can get details here: http://www.funhound.co.uk/

Most people there have greyhounds and larger lurchers, so it would be great to have a few smaller sighthounds.

Hope to see you?!
I'm going to take Lola in to the vet's tomorrow morning to get her checked out, but I can't put my finger on what's wrong with her. Does anyone have any ideas?
She's just coming up to 2 years. She's wormed regularly. She's normally lively and bouncy and very eager to play, but for the last few...
Someone asked me tonight because it's a requirement for the sighthound fungroup we go to (lots of free running) but they weren't sure where to get a muzzle for their iggy. Can anyone advise?
Monty has been with us for exactly 3 weeks today  and he's such a joy to have around.
He's so loving, has such a waggy tail, and seems very quick at catching on to new instructions and games
He's filling out very nicely, too, losing his ribbiness, and even his bald patches are...
:) I'm posting this on behalf of someone who's having trouble registering her membership. :)
I'll forward any replies and PMs to her
edited to add, she is looking to rehome a rescue whippet rather than buy a puppy :)

I thought I'd start a new thread for pictures of whippets in Laney's Jumpers, seeing as ours arrived this morning and I'm so pleased with them
Thank you, Laney
I'll start the ball rolling with lots and lots of pictures of Josie and Lola wondering just what is going on now...
:( We had a lovely walk yesterday, running with another whippet and a JRT/Lakeland x.
Great fun, but Lola seems to have run through a bush and scragged her eye. Ouch! It looked a bit awful when she first did it, but a bit better this morning although still red, and the iris part has a...
At last, OH and I managed a week away - our first this year. It's been a hectic time with moving etc, but at last we made it. Here's some piccies of the whippets on various Devon beaches
