Poo Eating Hound, How Do I Stop This?

Hi guys, sorry not to have posted here in forever and apologies for the gross nature of this post ... don't read on if you're eating :x The post title says it all. We've tried most of the generally advised things, the boys are rarely outside alone when toileting, but Griff, who has always had...

    Hely??

She's seen it now! Honestly a girl (emphasis on girl there ;) ) can't turn her back for a moment! Trac, do I have to get babysitters in for you from now on if I go out for the day?!

Pride Of The Peaks Coursing Event

Hello, could you clarify for me please ... will there be separate events for whippets, lurchers etc. or will they be run against each other? Cheers.

    Cardiac Specialist Recommendations Please

Thanks Jo. I don't think he does have a heart problem - most likely diagnosis is either Petit Mal, or 'just one of those things' - but I'd never forgive myself if I didn't get his heart checked.

    Cardiac Specialist Recommendations Please

Thanks, and I totally agree. In fact I'd be surprised if this dog turns out to have a heart problem, a lot of whippets are disgnosed with heart murmurs by non specialists when in fact their hearts are just fine. But as he collapsed at the weekend (the syncopal episode) even though he recovered...

    Cardiac Specialist Recommendations Please

I have a whippet who *may* have a heart problem - one syncopal episode and the possibility of a slight murmur at auscultation - and am looking for recommendations re. a veterinary cardiac specialist who also specialises in running dogs please. I don't want to see someone who is not au fait with...

    Bleeding Ears

Recently Taran sustained a little ear nick and I put a human sticky plaster on it ... the square sort, folded in half so that it encased the tip of his ear and was stuck to itself at the sides. I only tried it as a last resort but it worked brilliantly :D I took it off after a couple of days...

    Come Back People

I'm still here on and off. And I'm still as friendly and as helpful as I ever was. But frankly I don't really see the point of posting any more. It was Finn's birthday yesterday (4th) and is Griff's today (1st) and once I would have covered K9 in whippet pics on a weekend like this. But a...

    Rescued Whippet

Having met this little chap I can vouch for him being an absolute poppet  And he's really landed on his paws with Ali and Ben. He's a happy chap and not unhealthy, he just needs lots of feeding up and loads of cuddles, which he's not averse to asking for by plonking himself in your lap ...

    Advice

What an awful thing to have happen, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I know Jane at Scruples has always been very anti placing dogs in homes where there were horses on the premises or in close proximity for precisely this reason. My concern re. finding a new friend for Monty would be that...
