My heart goes out to you. It is so hard at the end, but at least we have the ability to end the pain.
Run free Woody, my Emily will look after you until we are all together again.xxxx
So very sorry to hear of Alfie's horrible accident. My heart was in my mouth when Rachel told me. It sounds like your Vet. is right "on the ball". and with the right Veterinary care I sure Alfie will soon be back on four strong legs, and running the hills with his brother Blue. Thinking of you...
I have come to the conclusion that they are better left to heal on there own. The mess the last dog got in from the splint was unbelievable, I vowed I would never splint again.
If the toes is dislocated it should be re-aligned I would think, but splints are aweful on a Whippets tender skin...
Happy Birthday Alfie, Rowan, Gracie Emmie, my Holly, and to the whole litter.
Holly and Rowan celebrated their 6month B'Day by winning first and second in minor puppy at Richmond, and thus qualifying for Crufts!!!!!!!
WHOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!
Poor little darling. I am so pleased that the damage was not too bad.
What on earth made these dogs attack her?....were they staffs by any chance? Although the owners attitude was not that of the present day Staff. owners!
She will soon be on the mend.
How sad, but what a wonderful gift to Jesse's memory...I really have tears in my eyes, perhaps he found my Emily who left us in July last year, and they are running together at the Rainbow Bridge.
