Thanks for all your kind words.
It's really sad leaving a part of our lives that we've been involved with for so many years (K9 & Whippet racing)... but it's the right decision. K9 has a new enthusiastic owner & I'm sure there are many exciting improvements planed.
We have a new life to carve...
Many of you know that myself & Judy moved to Portugal last year to lead a bit more of a relaxing life, enjoy a bit of sun, meet new challenges etc. Well, the move went very well & we are both feeling very settled here now. That move has meant that we don't have the involvement with Whippet...
Well we have actually been working quite hard trying to get things sorted but there is also a very busy social life here. Twice a week we're at Portuguese lessons, then there's the weekly walks, poker evenings, quiz nights etc. etc. It's difficult trying to fit everything in.
In the last week...
Well, at times I thought K9 was gone for good but fortunately a last ditch effort seems to have saved the day... Some no doubt would put it down to too much wine & too much sun now we're just about settled in Portugal!
Merry Christmas to all our friends back in the UK. Seems strange to be here...
Well, I really hope we are back... this time. Thanks for everyones patience.
We've had real problems with the database keep on corrupting & giving the ips error. Now we are back on a disaster recovery backup & things are looking fairly healthy. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
Appologies for the extended downtime on K9...
The server had a major problem which required it to be rebuilt. Then there were problems with the web server part and after those were fixed we were left with a corrupted database. The first database fix failed and an extensive rebuild of the...
Looking at the visitor figures there is a slight reduction compared to last year but generally things are looking pretty healthy. There has always been ups & down across different forums over the years but with there being more and more destinations available for viewers clicks I think K9 has...
Really sorry we're not going to make - we'll be in Portugal. We pick a weekend when nothing is going on & then the National date gets changed  Oh well, next time!
Julia, we have been all through this many times before. I'm sure that 99% of people who've seen the dogs, seen them run and know the circumstances of the mating have made their own minds up about them by now. Nothing is going to change their opinion. I don't think there's much support, even from...
oops!!
Actually I did remember (w00t) although I'm not absolutely sure Judy liked being reminded...
She's having a relaxing Internet free day today  but I'm sure she'll catch up on the good wishes tomorrow.
Google 'Error 2048 quicktime' & there is a lot of information... seems to suggest you have a Windows registry problem  Not sure I believe that though... You could try a video player other than QuickTime - I suggest you load up VideoLAN - it will play just about anything.
If you cannot play it directly right click the second link June & save the file. You should save the .mov file to your PC & then play it from there using your QuickTime player or whatever player you use to view .mov files.
