Riskit - named after a terrier my Grandfather bred who turned out a bit more cautious than the usual Irish Terrier!!!
Jilly the deerhound - came with her name
Logan the Irish Terrier - came with his name
Dill the Ormskirk heeler - arrived as Dylan aka Dylan the Villain - but because he's too...
Thanks for cross-posting :)
I have spread the word amongst the Irish Terrier people. 'Breeding Pair' and I'm so pleased that the poor whippet's situation has reached a wider audience of whippet-lovers.
:) It will be lovely to see Scrumpy!
There should be a little lurcher there I helped find a home for who is half Irish Terrier and Scooby the lurcher, who does working trails with my heeler, Dill. You just need one more and you can have an all-lurcher team for the rat-catching relay!!!
:)...
Great! I've just helped re-home a lurcher who is half Irish Terrier to a local family and they are hoping to come along as well - as is my working trials friend with her lurcher. Maybe a lurcher will be crowned Best Ginger in Show!!!!
:) Thanks! I do this every time i.e. panic!!!
Last time our judge fell in love with a lovely bullxgreyhound lurcher and had to be prized away before judging could resume. As a one-time deerhound owner, I do love seeing sighthounds and lurchers and as I will be stewarding - I get to talk to all...
The North of England Irish Terrier Club would like to invite you and your dog(s) to our Ginger Fun Day, on Sunday 9th August at Scarisbrick Village Hall, near Ormskirk, Lancashire.
ALL dogs are welcome - ginger dogs are very welcome and are in with the chance to win a special prize!

:) My heeler clucks like a hen about to lay an egg when he gets really excited. Maybe I should go for a purring whippet as my second dog - just to really confuse people!
:) I do love whippets and Irish Water Spaniels! I like Spinones and Braccos too - and lurchers!
My favourite breed is Irish Terrier, but finding the type I like is getting more and more difficult. I also like Kerry Blues and Airedales and Wheatens with the Irish type coat - but again, it's...
At the risk of sounding like a total fruitcake - I play a game with Dill that just sort of evolved. We have a big yoghurt pot and a golf ball....
Dill has to flat / sit / whatever I decide and then the ball is placed under the pot and pushed accross the floor, so it moves along in a very...
In the next 24months I would like to get another dog. I am in no rush at all as it is going to be a l-o-n-g commitment and I'd rather take lots of time over the decision. My main concern is that it gets along with my existing dog, Dill.
Dill is a heeler (farm bred, not KC regd.) If you can...
Your post just reminded me of my old dog, now sadly departed. One of his best mates was a saluki x whippet bitch and he would spend ages chasing after her - he just loved it and she did too. She did exactly the same thing, although Logan didn't need much encouragement to chase. They used to fly...
Have PM'd you - hope it arrives as it hasn't registered in the 'sent' box
We've just been given details of a 10 month old bitch who we believe is a working wheaten with something else in there too - the jury is still out as to exactly what!!!
We have a 5 year old, castrated dog looking for a home in the North West of England - although he will look further afield if necessary! He is great with people of all ages but as he is very lively and bouncy, we would prefer a home with children over 14. He has not been cat-tested so a home...
