Pud - now grand age of 13 has a yellowish-white lump on the underside of the tongue. Vet does not know what it is without removing under full anaesthetic. Fair enough. But before we put Pud through all that stress, has anyone else's whippet had a similar condition?
8 months since Georgie passed away and we still haven't found a new friend for Pudding. He's twelve now so needs an older dog.
We're registered with JR and have talked to a couple of rescue centres. Even though it's London, they have a great time running in Regent's Park and meeting with the...
don't know what to say. there is life beyond this. and perhaps, in time, more whippets to bring joy. but for now, focus on the great times you've had. and of course let those tears flow as much as they want.
fyi Royal Veterinary Collage in London is doing a long term study on heart murmurs. Pudding is enlisted. He has mild heart murmur. The vets there say no reason for concern assuming he is running fine with no coughing or tiredness.
Yes, per previous post, we are looking to find an older dog to keep with Pudding our male (Georgie his buddy of 9 years passed away a few months back). Talked to Mandy at JR Rescue and we may not necessarily need female - depends on number of factors. Looking at the link, the black dog...
Well, almost 5 months have gone by since little Georgie went to the Bridge. We still miss her terribly.
While Little G can't really be replaced, Pudding definitely needs a new side-kick to keep him company. He's 10 so he's looking for a maturer lady!
If you know of an older female whippet...
Keith, have to say with Pudding's various injuries over the years, they tend to be a furless patch - often dark. He's got one above his eye and above his leg. One just healed, the other needed stitches. Nigel
lisa - our dog Pudding also started limping recently after a run. He's 10 so he's no spring chicken. The vet checked him over and thinks it may be arthritis brought on by change in weather. He's on some meds now but still limping a bit - and that's after 3 weeks. Sooo. I'm wondering if there's a...
really sorry to hear this. I know what you're going through. We just lost Georgie to leukaemia. All you can do is make sure he's comfortable and spend as much time with him. Best wishes, Nigel nigelhomer.com
Last time I posted was about Pudding and Georgie making the trip over from the States to London. We've had a great year meeting lots of dogs in Regents Park. Last month our vet reported that Georgie's red cell count was low. She was subsequently diagnosed with leukaemia. After a couple of weeks...
I while ago I posted about our impending move from DC to London. Well, Pudding and Georgie made the journey well. Virgin Atlantic Cargo team were great as were the DEFRA crew at Heathrow.
Anyway, Pud and Georgie are now enjoying many off-lead races in Regent's Park where there are quite a...
