    Dogs change of toilet time.

Thanks for your reply Judy. i hope things are better with you. We have taken your advice and changed Brookes diet as you recommended. I expect that we will have to wait a couple of days or more to see the change.

    Dogs change of toilet time.

Our ten year old Lab has changed her toilet time to various times during the dark hours - usually 2am ish. She used to go before or after breakfast. The only thing that we are doing different is adding more veg to her second meal of the day - 4.30 in the afternoon. She then gets an evening walk...

    Wussy staffy x Pug

I contacted the Vet recently regarding similar problems to yours. They recommended a CD of noises called 'Sounds CD' by Company of Animals. I bought it from Amazon and ever the pessimist that I am, I started playing it each morning and can definitely see improvement. We just act normally and...

    Help and advice please.

Thanks ever so much for your advice. I must admit that we have tried to comfort her without thinking that it is the wrong thing to do. I have toyed with the idea of deliberately Introducing noises and will do. I thought about making her watch East E doers but I am not cruel to her!

    Help and advice please.

Our Lab (10 years old and rescued) has in the last few months become nervous of bangs locally and distant. She is normally a happy and obedient soul and loves her home life. We do our best to reassure her but it makes us unhappy to see her distressed. She has recently had medication for an ear...

    Change of food?

I note your replies with great interest. I was in conversation with a mate today who also mentioned grain being a problem. Can anybody recommend a specific raw food for a lab please. We have just paid for and received a couple of big bags of Canin but Will have to bite the bullet and get...

    Change of food?

Thanks for the reply. She is eating Royal Canin Satiety weight management. She does like a paddle but we have cut down her swimming to almost zilch. The vet is seeing her on Tuesday. Her ears have constantly dirtied/waxed up since we have had her

    Change of food?

Our Lab (a rescue) has frequent attention from us due to a build up of wax in her ears causing her to scratch them. Does anyone hold the view that certain foods can cause an increase in wax in the ears? I look forward to the replies.

    Horses

I often read reports of irresponsible dog owners not picking up their pets poo. What does the law say with regards to horse manure? Let me say that I am not anti horse. I just wondered what the law states.

Sorry that I cannot give advice but I do hope that things turn round for you as it must be very upsetting.

    Dog liking lips.

If I was a betting man i would go for habit. It's only occasional. As she is rescued, we wonder if her previous life has any relevance. She is so happy and almost always has a smile on her face.

    Dog liking lips.

Merlina. Thanks for your reply. I would be surprised if she had any problem with the areas that you have mentioned. Her breath smells healthy. She has seen the vet a few times of late with another issue and they are happy with her.

    Good Dog Cages?

Not sure whether cage or harness is better but love it that owners care enough about their pets to ask the question. Sorry that I cannot answer your original question.

    Dog liking lips.

Whilst I am aware that a dog licking its lips can be a sign of anxiety, our Lab occasionally has a five minute or so session most days. No way is she worried by anything or anybody. She is content and much loved and very laid back! Any thoughts folks?
