I am posting this in the hope that someone may know of a home for this beautiful young girl

My husband was visiting a client today on a farm and met the most lovely german shepherd bitch.

Basically, she belonged to a young girl who lived in a flat and is now having a baby. It's the usual story,

the poor dog is no longer loved or wanted and has been foisted off on a family member (father-in-law) who said

he would find a home for her.

He has done absolutely nothing about it and she is now living in a lorry body on his son's farm where my husband

met her. She is a loving and friendly bitch and is KC registered with all papers. They want nothing for her,

just a lovely, permanent home please  The farm is in Devon.

I am sorry I don't have any pictures, but she is black and tan, short hair and her birthday is 4th May - she will

be 2 this year.

Please PM me if you can help and I will pass details to my husband. I can help with transport if necessary

Please feel free to cross post if you are a member on any other doggy forum!! Thank you

lets hope she finds a nice family home, such a lovely loyal breed is the GSD,

no room at casa jinnyfizz then jane? lol (w00t)

I wish I could have her,,,

Im looking up gds breeders on the net, but not found the right ones yet, but to be truthfull,,the time is not right for me to have another gds at the moment,,but I will have another in time. Im kinda window shopping at the moment.

You could try gsd rescue,,they are great at placing the dogs in the right home and do have a waiting list.

If Only

I hope she's soon sorted Jane

Wonderful that you are trying to find her a home Jane, fingers crossed a forever home will be found soon :huggles: Such a shame that she needs a new home because a baby has arrived :(

Jane, do you know if GSD rescue have been contacted?

Good luck in finding the perfect home for her Jane, I am sure that you will.

She must be special if her birthday is 4th May; same as mine!!! :teehee:

It would definitely be worth considering getting rescue backup for her if you can. A young girl with papers being given away free could so easily fall into the wrong hands, particularly if she's not spayed. It sounds as though the current owner would probably give her away to anyone who asked :(

I'd be happy to ask around on the rescue forums I go on and see if there's a good rescue who have space for her - let me know if you'd like me to do that.

Certainly!! That would be very helpful, thank you

My husband is going to talk to the chap again on Monday and ask

if we can put the GSD rescue groups in Devon in touch with him,

or vice versa.

I have posted on germanshepherdsuk and I am hoping that will

come up with some possibilities.

Hope the right home can be found very soon Jane :luck: :luck:

Good luck in finding this poor girl a new loving home :luck: :luck: :luck:

good :luck: jane

i'm sure you will find her a forever home

must have been heartbreaking for your hubby to walk away and leave her there

It would be definately worth posting on the Biggsd rescue forum:

http://s10.zetaboards.com/biggsd/index/

They specialise in GSD's and I am sure you would be able to find either a home or a foster/rescue place very quickly on there.

If she is entire then she really needs getting out of there fast - there are far too many people around who would want her to breed from!

Wish I was a bit closer!!

Sue
