2 Italian Greyhounds Needing A Home

:( aww poor babies ,i hope somone can help them :huggles:

 How astonishing!! Is there anyone who knows people in IG rescue? I'm sure word will get around and these two chaps will have a cosy home and laps to cuddle on very soon. They do look gorgeous

:( I've notified breed rescue.

Even though I'm in Scotland I'm too far away to go and see them. I also can't foster.

Hopefully someone can help them find a new forever home.

oh cripes they are near me

we are just about to move and are currently renting in a cottage which is full to the brim with four dogs and four cats already!

if only we were already in our new house i would go fetch these guys :(

i can't bear it.......

i am going to phone in the morning and see what the situation is :(

poor babys i live to far away xena keeps me busy with her leg (full time job her leg is )but i would find the room good :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: to them hope they find a very good home

Hope somebody can help these two little boys to get the new homes they clearly deserve. Good luck to them :luck:

i have phoned and spoken to the lovely lady at the rescue centre and here is the situation......

brought in as a result of a marriage break up and the owner could no longer afford to keep them.

they are both in need of extensive dental work which the centre is going to do - at the same time one will be neutered - the other already is.

one of them is recovering from an injury from another dog - not his brother and it did not happen at the centre.

they are not house trained at all from what i can gather - i did explain about this being an issue with this breed occasionally :b

they have all that they need, coats, comfy beds, scrambled egg on order.... they sound as if they are in very good hands.

the lady admitted that they knew nothing about Italian Greyhounds and had to look them up - i chatted with her about the little i know from reading up myself and what i have picked up from here.

she assures me that they now know that they are a very different breed and need to go to a home with folk that are aware of this.

i have let her know that hopefully someone from IG rescue will contact her and give more info on the breed x

i have left my details and she is going to phone me first when they are ready for a new home - also she will call me if they need anything

i am going to visit them as soon as they are ready and we are considering bringing them home :teehee:

it may work out perfectly - if we can get the house finished whilst they are recovering from injuries and dental treatment etc, and if the rest of my crew approve of them then we may be able to offer them a forever home

i cannot believe i am possibly going to be owned by two IG's and become the owner of six dogs (w00t)

i really would welcome any advice from IG owners.

if we are not ready when they are and another home comes along, then i just hope that it is a good one.

tracy x

Oh they are gorgeous boys !! Well done Tracy...You are an angel ! If you do get them I wish you lots of luck with them.

i have kept in touch with the rescue centre regarding the two beautiful boys.... sadly for us they are now ready for a new forever home.

all dental work etc has been completed and they are up for adoption.

the center promised to phone us first which they did yesterday - it breaks my heart to say that we are just not in the position to take them on :(

our house build is still not complete and may not be finished until the start of June.

we are currently in rented but have made the decision to move in to a trailer on site for the last part of the build.

the space inside the trailer is already a little short..... 4 dogs, 4 house cats and a house rabbit

this is not my main worry - i am more concerned that the space is to small to expect the Ig's and my four dogs to meet and live together - also the Ig's have never lived with cats.

the center cannot hold the guys as they are full up with cruelty cases that are waiting to go to court :(

but they did say that if the folk that have already showed interest do not turn out to be suitable then they would phone us at the end of May to see if we are ready to take them :))

i feel a little heart broken as i would have loved to give these two brothers a wonderful forever home, and whilst i am hoping that they will still come to us, i hate the thought of them having to stay at the center.

i guess i have to just keep my fingers crossed that if they do get chosen, that the people know what they are adopting and do not end up bringing them back to the center.

the lady at the center said that people are amazed at how small and cute they are - this very comment is worrying me enough to give me sleepless nights.

keep these little guys in your thoughts x

oh tracy im gutted for you :(

just hope that the centre knows enough about them to put them to the right people.

its such a shame that they wouldnt keep them on an extra couple of weeks so that they could get a loving forever home :(

:huggles:

although i dont like the thought of them being in the centre i do hope they are there long enough so that when you move and are all sorted you could maybe give them a chance  :huggles:

so sad , id really hoped you would have these boys :(

is there no way they could use a foster home til you were ready to take them on??
