Ok, I know it's not new year just yet ... but I'll be away for the weekend and I'm sure there are NYE shows in Brisbane too.

So I thought I'd get the thread up and running.

Thanks guys. Technically the other show was in 2005 so the results for it are on that thread. There were more dogs at that show.

There are some shows about. But due to the heat only mad dogs & &*%$#@men would go out in the mid day sun.

Adelaide had what was reported as a 1 in a 100 year event with the heat. It got to 43.5 here & but we were lucky with a cool change on Saturday night. It got down to 37c.

Some areas were at 45 & 47c+

So if there was a show on I would not be proud to post any results!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here in Melbourne Cartman...was entered yesterday but we topped 43 here also...I think the dogs appreciated being able to spend the day on the sofa in air conditioned comfort ... for that matter, so did I

I have shows coming up on the weekend and it's been raining for nearly a week here so I hope it keeps it up ... although I am travelling 5hrs south for the shows ... will probably be stinking hot in Gladstone.

Before the rain we had a terribly hot time, reportedly the hottest December on record - but has eased up a little - been sitting around 34 for the last week.

This petal wont wilt. :lol: The shows are very limmited this time of year. Also time of year that work is at highest, so I must plod on to work I go.

Also the judges on the show lists of late are very ordinary. Also I think Roshwen is right. The dogs are better off in the comfort of air conditioning. )

I can not understand how horse racing, cricket, tennis & even a boat race etc. was called off last week end & yet some people drag dogs out for a "cheap" CC.

Cheap CC is an understatement Cartman........ There is another life other than dog shows, especially when it is predicted as a 40 deg. day. Especially for a 6 pt CC & BOB. If you can't win amongst good competition. What is a title worth. lol.
