I hope the weight groups meet with approval. I have based these on the entries we had for the first two opens. Hopefully, this will give a fairly even number of dogs in each group. It also gives a bit of variation from the normal groups seen at most opens. I have made a note of the volunteers for judging, so your not getting off the hook :D I just need to choose the trophies now.
Just to throw in my three penneth - I loved the mugs and treats for the dogs at the Rescue open. Its so nice to win something useful, or something for the dogs
Thank-you for you three penneth June, alot of thought blood, sweat n toil went into getting them as i wanted but i did find a fantastic company( the details of which are being shared with Rob ;) ), and yes JUlie the clocks as always are lovely, they are picked and purchased by Wendy Freeman

Andover are intending to hold an additional open on 28th June 2009 at Weyhill Fair. We had noticed there was a big gap in the open calendar between mid June and mid July. We will have five main weight groups and three veteran groups. We will of course be grateful to anyone who is prepared to help on the day doing jobs such as: judging, PA, paddock etc. I look forward to being inundated with volunteers :D . ROB
I will do the line judging for the two heavy weight groups if needed. See, you have so little faith, but you still got loads of help!

We have a slight problem. The field had been double booked by the owner despite all of our dates having been approved last November. So, we are having to bring the open forward a week to 21st June. I will amend the entry form on the Andover club forum. Groups will remain the same but, the closing date will now be 7th June.

They were excellent prizes Leslie, much appreciated by dogs and humans. The clocks are lovely I seem to have ended up with 2 of them (summat to do with my forgetting to pop one in someone's car). :b Alan didn't mention it until we were on the way home when he said how come we've got 3 mugs and chews and 2 clocks. I had the owner of the other clock and mug asking me the next day where in her car I'd put them. Oooeerrr seems like she'd had a good rummage in her car and couldn't find her trophies. :b :b I shall have to remember to take the other clock and mug to the champs on Sunday or I will be right in the poo. Oh lordy I've just had a thought I think that my dogs have eaten ALL of the chews.

Went this morning Julie. :) Good luck and safe racing to all the dogs running tomorrow. We are coming to watch so will see you all there.

Excellent news - I was reading this thread thinking sadly that we wouldnt be able to go (or help) as I would be in Cardiff for the British Speedway Grand Prix, then just read about the change of date - so you can count on us being there and happy to help out on PA as always :D
