7 whippets inside the door - 4 squirrels outside the door on the porch -

Payton 1st out the door - snatched 1 off the tree and took off after

another with the 1st in his mouth - dropped the first one when he

tried to take another - the second thru the fence just before he slid in

for another - 1st squirrel ran thru the fence behind him - the other 2

squirrels went up the handy hickory tree 5 ft from the porch - hounds zero

squirrels four -

have to teach Payton that a squirrel in the mouth is worth 3 up a tree <G>

I think that a squirrel is a squirrel - as long as they dont fly they basically are the same -

our variety is the red squirrel in this part of the country - its been a good "nut" year

so we have way to many young ones around - the old ones know better than to

get in the yard -
