hello all,

here is a 6-puppy litter of racing stock from north of Prague in the Czech Republic.

Kennel: "ze Springbart Gou"

their pedigree is here:

some pics here:

Radka from "Ticking Timebomb" speaks english (and german i think) and she is on the net. she is the breeder of both parents (Ticking Timebomb).

her page:

i am first in line, apparently, to choose from the 3 black-white boys. i am considering going down at the end of this month to see them and try to decide if i will be taking on another Whippet or not ;)

i and my clan of 2 male whippets are into frisbee and we are just starting coursing, and probably will get into racing in some way, in my area here in north poland.

this litter's parents and close relatives have done very well in racing in central/east-central europe (czech, austria, switzerland, etc). for example, "Happy Boy ze Springbart Gou", one of the dam's offspring from another litter, is czech racing champion for 2007. Figo, the father of this litter is young and showed racing promise in 2007. for those of you who don't know, racing is well-organized and on a pretty high level in the czech republic... probably partially due to its proximity to Austria.

if anyone has any info or advice for me about my decisions that i have coming up soon, please contact me privately at glennskii (at) gmail (dot) com.

thanks!

Hi

Interesting to read your thread.

We will be at the World Championships in Holland this year - are you going?

We will also be racing in Germany, whats and were is the Whippet Racing in Poland? - you can email me the info if you wish.

Rob...

hi,

i will write here because it may be of interest to others...

i don't think i will be in Holland, but i'm not completely sure.

i may do germany this year.. but will for sure go to Czech, Slovakia, and maybe Austria.

in poland they race in Bytom in Silesia. it is southwest Poland, not too far from Czech. There is an Airport in the area. A lot of cities there.

we are only starting coursing here in the tri-cities of Gdansk/Sopot/Gdynia (north Poland) this year. I imagine, if all goes well, and other s help us, there might be some form of racing next season here.

i'm not sure how many years they have been racing in Bytom. I will go there this year for sure.. as well as Czech and Slovak Meets... to watch, learn, and meet people.

Radka at Ticking Timebomb, and Marta at Balifail (Vienna, Austria) are both on the net and are good sources for info about racing in this part of Europe. They will probably be in Holland too.
