A big well done to all the workers and winners over the weekend, A special well done to Russian Roulette, Up for North and Swift Boy all gaining their titles and Dave and Mary's Swift Boy gaining Supreme also on Sunday Show Girl, What a performance for one so young. :sweating: I for one really enjoyed watching the racing from the bank at old hall :)) Its was nice to see a lot of people that have been out of racing for some years coming to watch :))

Big Congratulations to everybody this weekend,it's been brilliant  Special Congratulations to the Supreme owners Chappo,Mark and Vicky (Not sure who was more proud you or John  ) Joyce (love seeing Arty run) and to my mate Russ WOW,how proud of Bailey are you.He never put a foot wrong, and the Supreme run off with Ray and Mary's brilliant 36lber has got to be one of the best races of the weekend :sweating: :sweating: Not sure how many dogs have been lucky enough to get their names on that trophy twice, just shows how special he is  Loads of other brilliant dogs on show, but have got to mention Merlin,Nch,Rch Emrys.Janine was one proud owner, and i'm sure Vicky and Mark were just as proud for breeding him  To my mate Mike with the young Zola Budd, getting runner up in the 36lb class, only 15mnths so loads to come  Moose not letting George and Val down and gaining another title. My mates Chris and Karen(Not letting him take all the praise Karen  ) with Shelby Rch Secret Spot,Vicky and Marks gorgeous Hunkie taking the 45lb class. So pleased Les and Lynda were there to see him gain his title  and finally my charge Red (Hellseeker) gaining runner up to Hunkie. It's not been the best of years for me losing Duke,so it's been a godsend that Jo and Darren let me have Red after losing Duke.I owe you both a big thanks, and also my best mate Yvonne, for picking up the pieces and sorting me out after the tragedy  Dogs never fail to amaze me,and none more so than Red,he's been off for a few months, got the all clear had a week of free running and a visit to the beach, one trial, did a great time, then in he went at champs.Wasn't sure how many runs he'd be able to do,so he thought he'd be awkward and take me 4 times up the track :sweating: or (w00t) I'm proud as punch of him,and I know his big bro was looking down on him all the way  Finished being soppy now  Great Champs weekend
been waiting for you to post new it would be a story lol and i could just add bits 'agree with everything karen as posted' just 1 bit she missed out is how hard she as worked with Red treating him every day, walking him, swimming him, all before he got the all clear to run then we had to drive over 2 hours to give him his free run on the beach because karen was just a little :sweating: so proud of him and you (w00t)

ok thats me being nice (w00t) lol almost forgot big well done my other mate Karen with Rch secret spot she ran brill for you and did'nt to give Chris any counselling pmsl or stroke him on the head lol

I think the BWRA would have been screwed without the photofinish this weekend, the amount of close races were unbelievable.

Thanks to Old Hall, for working so hard to get their track to such a high standard, you all deserve a huge pat on the back and should be very proud as should the rest of the committee and volunteers

Plenty of class on show all weekend but you'd have to be blind to not be impressed by Wor Rag (early pace was phenominal) and the youngster Showgirl (already top open class), there were too many excellent performances to mention them all but i think a lot of owners went home well proud.

Well done fellow North Westers making it to their finals Boybelle, Push the Button, Hagler and Ellie Ruth along with the other good perfomances by those that weren't so lucky this year.

ETA. Well done Karen and Hellseeker, some very brave runs from the dog, hope you have many more wins with him.

the racing was good, i was really pleased by the way roger ran only the second time this year he's ran with another dog

however

apparently there was a boiler getting fixed don't know where, didn't look like anything had gone on for years

toilets wernt open on a night like it was said they would be and if not there'd be a key somewhere so if there was we wernt told where this "key" was hid and like you would be able to see it in the dark (w00t) at that daft idea

nothing would of hurt for at least 1 porter loo and 1 porter shower the money that was taken over the weekend was clear profit after the trophies

most people opinions over the weekend whether they say them on here or not, i heard them discussing the money maid, etc

good job i had people to cheer me up, thanks sue and stuart made me laugh all weekend as always and lyndons for a bit of career advice

my opinion - that i am entitled top thank you

sorry to hear your dissapointment kate but it was a simple mistake some 1 had dropt the bolt on other side of the door not relising its a learning curve for next time as for work going on the boilers not every 1 works bank holidays

on a possitive note the track was mint and soft we had 1 rerun over the whole weekend due to fast trap and we had no serious injuries (which is the most important)

Well done to all winners Well done to workers who got track spot on with watering it every day on run up to champ and like Andy said lessons be learned for future shame about showers and mistake over toilet would be better with few port a loos on field but I do think in my opinion the champs need stay in one place to improve and build a atmosphere at venue so I hope they stay at old hall I think they get better every year and it's central hope I have some think to run next year and Kate your welcome hope my advices help you but been there girl your luck will change soon keep trying see soon Lyndon

forgot to say well done to Mark and Vicky dont no how you two do it, vicky having 2 jobs mark working full time, 2 kids to look after, litter of pups to look after and moving home, both with in 6 weeks of Champs wow :sweating: and still manage to get not 1 dog but 4 running out there skin taking 2 titles and Sup :)

well done Old Hall committee for all you efforts leading up to the champs and the Bwra committee and workers great weekend of racing BUT have to agree with Kate regarding the toilet /shower facilities especially for those people in tents there should have been porta loos and showers on even if it meant paying the original quote of £10 p/n

dont think thats down to the bwra kate and linda old hall got all the caravan money, and when i spoke to the grounds man he said the boiler as not worked for a year and could'nt be fix till the asbestos was removed dont know how true this is, but agree it was'nt good for people in tents but think most manage ok we all helped each other out

whoever it was down to it just wasn`t good enough hope next year is abetter organized as apart from the toilets and showers it was ok :))

like i said it is a learning curve and your oppinions will be taken on board by higher ranks im just glad its all done with now till next year

 You're bang on target with your last comment, Yvonne! Those lads worked like Trojans to get the track in top condition, which it was and I think the lack of injuries bears witness to the fact. As you've said earlier, there was a problem with the loos and it was unfortunate that "someone" put the bolt across, one night, so even if you could have found the key, you couldn't get in! Rest assured, all these points are being addressed and WILL be solved and I can only hope that the lessons are learned and people are not OVER critical about some things and they forget what a good weekend was enjoyed by the majority of those that attended! I know that a lot of work was put in by lots of different people and I, for one, am grateful that because of this we are all able to enjoy our sport in a safe environment!

Nice one Vicky & Mark  I predict 15 titles with this super dog  :luck:

Many thanks to the BWRA committee and Old Hall. Track was superb, lovely and wide with a brilliant running surface and racing went down the card smoothly.

Like Pockett said, it's a learning curve and I'm sure Old Hall will take any criticisms made in a pro active manner and improve for the benefit of us all but also there's a lot to be said for helping each other out in times of need as was apparently the case.

Huge congratulations to all those gaining an RCH title, the standard was high, the racing impressive and exciting as photos will show when they're online (I'm currently editing)

Some very impressive youngsters running, Supreme Dog winner Swift Boy, Ellie Ruth, Emrys, Show Girl, Riverside Gem, Twist N Pulse, Up 4 North and more I've probably forgot but looked at piks and thought wowza!

Then there was the older experienced racers in their prime showing their consistency, Wor Rag leading the opposition all the way, Cobain clocking his 2nd RCH title which I was quick enough to capture Porkys face at the finish with the camera. Bigland Bailey finished like a train and made my camera struggle to lock on, not that Russ was bothered, he looked like the cheshire cat even on sunday! :D

The veteran's showing they'd not just got the speed but the durability as well. My favourite race was the 45lb vet sc, similar to scotland in that you could of thrown a ribbon over the finish line and it would of touched every dog - proper scratch racing  Huge well done to old rival Turkish and hope your not too sore after a hard knock off on the finish :luck: :huggles:

Vicky and Marks enterouge - Maid Your Point - 14 titles!!! Well done! Hunkie and Karen's Hellseeker was extremely exciting with a D/H for the final. Finally Beside The Point a number of times I thought she was out of the race only for this little brindle bullet to come shooting past!

Others flying the flag for the North West and putting on a great performance, Little Big Man, Ellie Ruth, Boy Belle, Hagler, Mule Skinner, Mr Solo, Short N Curly, What's Your Rush, Mad Jack, Little Flyer, Push The Button. I was pleased to see Andy's Make It Four run, Joe's come a long way with time and patience, you should be very proud of him Andy.

Lastly my own youngsters, I was very anxious about running King Coal and absolutely over the moon that he come in 3rd in his big scratch race, little brother Stan matched him with a 3rd and Pixel put in a fantastic effort in the 32lb bitches class - so proud

Hope all dogs came home sound, any that didn't I wish a speedy recovery :luck: Anyone I've missed, sincere apologies! Think the competition was excellent and the dogs all gave excellent performances, well done to you all.

I'll post when photos are online (depending on temperment of PC!) Hopefully not too long though!

Look forward to the pics Jaq,still look like a cheshire cat lol great write up of the weekend :D
