:- " Ozzy is 10 months and hasnt cocked his leg yet! I have to wipe/wash his legs when he had been out :sweating:   when I helped in rescue kennels for g/hounds hardly any of the boys cocked their legs and they ranged from pups to real oldies.
Neither does Beau  :D

Ahhhhhh but then Ozzy & Beau are half French (w00t) .....so they are bound to be a bit different to those full English bred lads!!!! :- "

...Maybe they are waiting to find an Eiffel Tower like structure to lift their leg and pee up   Lola say a big 'BONJOUR' to her two brothers  and wishes them to know that she doesn't cock her leg yet either !!!! (w00t) :teehee:

Oh and by the way ladies :- " Ozzy & Beau's slightly younger, male playmates DO LIFT THEIR LEGS ALREADY ;) !!!

Albus was one before he cocked his leg and I was seriously beginning to think that something was amiss. Then I caught him out of the corner of my eye. He can cock his leg but I think there is an element of laziness in it and he still squats (he will be 4 in June).

Diesel is not quite 5 months and I have seen him cock his leg a few times now. It must vary from dog to dog.

DON'T WORRY!

At least if Austin is squating and peeing up his legs he hasn't learnt the art of  cocking his leg up every tree or lamp post you pass Bandit is a devil for it Owen's not to bad though
He does smell almost every lamp post though!!

Was funny last night. He met our neighbours new dog and they were getting a bit boistrous in the house so the OH's took them for a quick walk. They said that Austin was sniffing something, so the new dog thought "oh, I'll have a sniff at that", then new dog decides to wee on it, but Austin is still sniffing, so Austin gets a face of wee. :x

I think Austin is missing that brain cell too!!!

That always happens in our garden the whippets are sniffing about and William decides to cock his leg result one wee'ed on whippet

:- " Ah yes - but Ozzy et le Beau sont spéciaux!  Do you mean yours do the can-can then?

Non-leg-cocking can be a sign of a non dominant laid back nature. Alfie my colliex won my heart 12 years ago when he came out of his kennel at the pound and had a girlie wee, in front of all these macho dogs going beserk at him.

He has been the most perfect tempered dog ever

Whereas girls who cock their legs and dogs who cock very early on can be quite bossy :D

Owen was cocking his leg at 17 weeks, (w00t) he has rarely ever pee'd like a girl :p

O'Amos on the other hand is still squatting at nearly 8 months old :( he doesn't bother smelling lamposts or tree's and will pee only once when he's out for a walk... i don't know where he keeps it

the most he has ever managed is a 'lean' so he can **** all over his white legs

My fox terrier has only just started to cock his leg he does it when he feels like it though! he will be one on the first of march! lazy devil! :D

and my mums springer never bothered to cock his leg all his life we used to tease him and say he was a girl! :D

Digit pretty much always cocks - even if it's just a blade of grass he's peeing up (well, a boy has to keep up appearances :b )

Bloggs generally squats - except for when he half squats/half cocks - then he wees all over his legs  bless him

Digger always cocks his leg in a very masculine way - Hugo stil invariable squats and pees all over his front legs except when he's following Digger then he tries his best to imitate his stance :clown:
