Our local garden center had a Robin problem so they shot them    .....it didn't go down well and people started a petition
Not bad for one morning  :D .......so it's up to your's for Tea then
Just read through this thread. Going to ask a daft question now? What problems could a Robin Cause? Other than being bad luck to see one, it usually means a death can't think of why they would be a problem?

Unfortunatly the family of Robins lived in this really big, well known branch of garden centers cafe/kitchen  .....So the Robins asked for what they got :( as they were such naughty, calculating birds  ......Public hygiene and all that

Thats unusual Hannah as Robins tend to be very terotorial and will attack any other Robin that ventures into it's area?.

They tend to live a pretty solitary life (unless breeding lucky buggers  )

No silly .......it was a Mummy Robin, Daddy Robin and little baby Robins........Hence them being a family of Robins :- " .........This is why there was an uproar as the chicks were nearly ready to fly the nest, so for the sake of a week or so when they would have all gone because (as you said ) they are very terrotorial, they were shot

So what's happening now!

is everyone walking around singing the old song ?

WHO SHOT COCK ROBIN

No ........ They want the nasty manager to resign for ordering their shootings

I can't understand why he had them shot? why not just chase them away everytime they show themselves if they didn't want them?

surely though a few Robin flying around the garden center was nice for visitors?.

What .......and s***ing on your sandwiches .......no its not good for buisness

I like Robins, they should of set up a feeding station in a quiet corner out of the way from the cafe, then hopfully that would of solved the problem but a bit late for that I suppose.
