What would the sport do without these yougnsters comming through, these lads came all the way up from the Midlands without any bother, so we should see them at more opens over the comming months.

I've never spoken to Gilbert before but what a lovely bloke he is.

The days end with such good prizes on offer there was a healthy crowd to clap the days winners.

Oooooh and Wendy - she's gonna kill you!!

Just wanted to say, I had a fantastic time!! Shame I couldn't have camped but Ste has received a rollocking off me Dad cos it would of been good preparation for our doggie holiday. Anyhow wild horses won't stop me next year!!

I also wanted to say that I felt the event was very well organised with lots of entertainment for all ages and I was really appreciative of all the hard work that had gone into this weekend.

Finally a big thanks to all my friends who collared my very shy husband and forced him to make friends. When we got home he said that your a nice bunch of folk and I couldn't agree more! :D

Where would we be without the lure boys, at A&T its a hoot i'm sure michelle is saving up the money to by a Bra, thats why I only chipped in a penny, by the way I still owe you my entry money, remenber you had change and like a true Scotsman i forgot to leave it.

so we'll be seeing him on wed night? :p .

ps.......my back is much better now after weighing buffster (w00t) (w00t) (only joking she looks tons better now)

Nice shots Scotty it's great to see what contorted positions Whippets seem to get into and then the lengths to which they can extend just look at the extention of the rear legs on Connors Lass in the 23lb Bitch Class (look extra carefully and you can see her missing toe on the inside of her left foot). I think a caption for Master Tornado running could be "T-Rex does it like this Mummy" maybe from now on we could call him Dino Tornado lol :b

Great pictures we will miss you at the Scottish Derby :( .

That made up for missing your bum, still a great day see you again next year, no more pics so im of to read whats on the rest of this exciting K9 site

They are great aren't they - i can't believe you missed your own dog's race to take pic's, not many would do that. Thing is people will start to expect it of you now, you should charge! :D :D

P.S Kerri's dew claw (thanks for mentioning her Scotty)

Thanks also to everyone who enquired after her as she was limping around the field she was limping purely because I had removed her small tapes which we have introduced during her races and it snagged the problem claw which bled and was bandaged up. Had I not bandaged it and let her go around with it bleeding she would not have batten an eyelid but since she had the toe off and had to wear a bandage she has gotten it into her head that bandages mean 3 legged (and people ask why I don't vetwrap her claws to race ;) ).

We have been lucky in the fact that she has never had a problem with her dew claws until now, it appears that by dropping her weight by 2lb following a successful (for her at least) bend season she has clicked with straight racing and wants to win - consequently putting more effort in. We had the unfortunate accident in Ayr where her ligament severed during her race and I believe she may have applied more pressure inwards to her dew claw when stopping - as it was at a higher speed then Kerri normally runs on the straights the skin around the dew claw tore.

Short of removing the dew claws I don't think there is anything we can do for her at present and she runs the risk of opening this particular claw up unless she wears her tapes. We are hopefully looking into saving up the money to get them removed at the end of the year when the bends have finished for the winter break.

Aw! Thanks guys! I felt awful about now partying with you lot. It was one of the main things I was looking forward to. :( I don't know why, but I get the feeling you lot are a riot on the razzle! :teehee:

You'll be seeing us on Wednesday and if he tries to shy out of it I'm gonna give you his mobile phone number! (w00t)

One last thing looking at the dog and bitch finals it is clear that yd per lb is out of touch with the modern racing dog, light weights are running much faster than in the past, resulting in very unfair racing. The biggest handicap on straights should be 2ft per ld, but then again I must be mad as over 75% of racers agree, but will we change I doubt it.
Ok I missed it, wasn't there!

But one question, why were the non peds running off weights and the peds running off times ?

IMHO if the peds had run off weights Rolling Thunder wouldn't have been touched! :b

Just my thoughts!

We will produce pictures in A4 size fully framed with Jades special coligraphy writing on the surround. They will be £15 each, Im not a pro I only mess about so im not out to make money just to cover the cost of the paper Inks and frames, I have looked in Photo shops and this size framed is much dearer. Like I said im no pro so it might takea few attempts to get a pic that looks good enough to print.
