Some of you probably won't know some of these Peds but they were racing at A&T today ... and they are Pedigree's so where better to put the results ?

Racing was on a time basis and from the few races I saw the handicapper did a very good job indeed

Ta to whoever edits :D

excuse me for asking but if all the dogs are pedigree is there some reson why not one of them also races with the peds

i would have thought some would do both ( peds and non-peds)

perhaps some one can let me know.

Don't quite follow you. Do you mean why don't they enter ped opens. Well in our case our dog Ben is an 1/2 inch too tall to get a passport plus he is 6 now & has a dropped muscle so isn't the speediest dog around anymore. Dove is 7 & sits up in the traps making lots of noise & ends up falling out when they go up (incidentally she has a WCRA passport). Daisy just hasn't a competitive bone in her body, comes back up the track faster than she goes down. We keep PET whippets & race & show them for fun!! You won't find us chewing our knuckles if we lose (We'ed have none left).

As for the rest I think some have WCRA passports & have took part in ped opens. Rolling Thunder has reached open finals. If you follow the A & T thread under non-ped racing you may see why some ped owners entered & why they enjoy club racing at Gin Pit.

As for peds entering the main handicap, even the fastest would have no chance whatsoever & just clutter their races up.

Hope this helps you.

Barney races as Savilepark Strongman and Misty as Mandalin Wind at the Northern. Most people know Rolling Thunder (Dino), Suki and Digby are both youngsters that are currently learning the racing ropes with a view to getting passports.

Hope this helps,

Scott.
