Does anyone here use Arden Grange food? I was reading up on it and it looks very good. Dolly and Mojo are currently on Burns but need to eat tons and Mojos coats isnt the greatest, have to supplement with evening promrose oil to get it to look good. So i had a talk with Ness from Arden grange and she suggested either the Peformance or the Premium. After looking at the info there really isnt much difference in the oil or protein content of either food, so i was wondering if anyone uses Arden Grange and if so which one do you use and how do you find it? Just want to make sure if i change theri food its too the right one!!

Hi Fiona, yes my boy was brought up on Burns mini bites and Burns adult but i found him to be a little bit energy less!! so i have recently switched him to Arden G premium and the difference it has made!!! he has more stamina and his coat has become very very smooth he also has Burns ocean bites as they are full of omega's and he loves them!! he has the A.G for breakfast and again at lunch time (small amounts) but in the evening he does have some lightly cooked meat with laughing dog mixer sometimes rice and some lightly cooked veggies!! yes he is spoilt rotten!!!

A.G has a slightly higher protein content to Burns but it really has changed my lad for the better  give it a try :luck:

Any reson why you chose the premium over the performance?

well i met a lady who has a Cocker Spaniel and she said she had him on the Burns but he was low in energy and Spaniels usually are full of energy she switched him to the Premium, i think as i said the Premium has a higher protein count anyway the Spaniel too is flying on A.G!! so the thing here with our dogs was the energy boost but that might not be the case with your dog as you said coat condition is a problem so best talk to Ness about which one to go for :luck:

Hi I'm a new member I feed my dogs arden grange and have an information booklet on the whole range, the difference between the two are that the premium contains Fresh chicken & chicken meal and is more for a pet / resting working dog, the performance contains only chicken meal and has more ingredients to benefit a hard working dog. I feed my lot on the salmon & rice and their coats are beautiful I buy breeder bags from a local independant supplier in Fife who does free home delivery if thats any help to you. You could also try Skinners Salmon & Rice which like the arden grange is hypoallergenic it's really good as well :)

hi i used to have my whippet on burns but she wasnt putting any weight on so i changed her to arden grange and have noticed a great improvement i dont have to feed nearly as much and her stools are a lot firmer

by the way i have her on the performance and have found a big improvement in her coat and general well being

Thanks alot for the info!! I think i am going to give the perfomrance a shot as my two do spend alot of time walking as we often go away walking in the mountains so they need the extra protein and fat!!
