I've been going down to Devon on frequent trips to visit my boyfriend down there.

Next step is introducing kids and woopits to him, but I have a major problem.

While Tascha loves the car, Teegan isn't so bad in the car, Totty really really hates it, gets herself worked up and pukes everywhere. Slobbers over everything, and is just a total wreck.

Is there anything I can do to help her? I've tried just doing very very short runs, followed by a great walk, treats, you name it.

Is there any herbal meds or anything I can give to her to ease her discomfort and upset?

Any and all advice greatly accepted.

I used to have real problems with Tyler - I had someone make up a Bach Flower remedy just for him (after describing his problems to her) and he has got to the stage where he doesn't need it now (he still does pant a little bit but 100 times better than he was :thumbsup: )

We had the same problem with Blue and tried the very short trips etc - thought we had made some progress then he started to get worse again and on short trips would just start to be sick even quicker! Anyway, saw some 'travel treats for dogs and puppies' in the pet shop and decided it wouldn't hurt to try them. We gave Blue one of the treats then he got in the car and didn't even drool, never mind be sick. We gave him another half way there (went about a 10-15 min drive to the beach) and he was great - no problems at all. Same again on the return journey. There's a website on the back of the packed - www.markandchappell.com - might be worth a try - they've certainly helped Blue with his travel sickness and he's been on lots of trips in the car since (the one time we forgot to give him a treat before we left he started to drool and look unhappy in the car again, so we quickly turned back to get them!). They are crunchy treats with chamomile, ginger and peppermint extract.

All mine suffer terribly with sickness,couldn't even travel 5 mins down the road and they would start :x but now give them Johnson's travel-eze tablets from the vets and so far had no problems.Travelled over 80 miles the other week and none of them was sick. :thumbsup:

Me again..I find the short drives out do help too.They didnt at first but when I take them to the forset which is about 6 miles I don't give them the pills and so far they are fine...probably tempted fate now and next time will honk up :x :thumbsup:

Gosh, that's a long journey for you, Andrea. You dedicated woman!

As I've posted before, Logan was the worst traveller ever - he hated it so much he would wee, poo and be sick even on very short journeys. I tried all the normal things - short journeys to nice walks, just going and sitting in the car for half an hour with him and nothing worked.

After his 1st sealegs tablet he was fine - we went on holiday to Ireland and drove well over a 1000 miles and he wasn't sick once and now jumps into the car (and into his crate) without any fuss.
